If you are just visiting my blog for the first time, welcome! Each Thursday I share pictures of my Christmas cards. I took the Christmas Card Challenge at Paper Wings and each month I make 4 cards. The theme for this month is sparkly, shiny, you know...BLING! So here is my sparkly Christmas card.

The sentiment and image are stamps from The Angel Company but they are no longer available. It was fun to use a non-traditional color combo and create a snow scene with my glue pen and Prisma Glitter. I would have waited until the glue dried better before snapping the photo but I am late as it is to get this done!

Hey, everyone!

It's time for me to share another Christmas Card with you! I joined a Christmas Card Club in February and each month I make 4 cards. These cards will be given to my customers at random, unless, ahem! you request you want a particular one. There was a sketch over on SplitCoastStampers that I thought looked fun so I used it. Here is that sketch:

I used designer paper from My Mind's Eye. I love this particular pack! It's sparkly and gorgeous all color coordinated! Super fun! In real life it looks much brighter and fun! Very hard to get a good shot today! The sentiment and Premium White Cardstock, the Palette Hybrid Inks are all from The Angel Company. I used Circle Sampler in Cognac and Inspirational Sayings in Landscape. I traced the sentiment with my clear Stardust Glitter Gel Pen. The green cardstock is something I had in my stash and have no idea where it came from!
This card definitely meets this month's CCC challenge of make it sparkly and/or blingy. I know in November I will be so glad I took the challenge of 4 cards per month when I don't have to sit down and make 30 all at one time! Have you started on your Christmas cards yet? Hey everyone!

The Christmas Card Challenge for March was to create non-traditional Christmas cards. I thought a great way to make my 4 cards for the month would be to change up the colors. It was a lot of fun working with non-traditional colors. I want to show the cards to you that I created for March.
This card features Kraft cardstock and Angelee designer paper from The Angel Company. I added doodle dots and faux stitching with my white gel pen. The scalloped edges are from my Cloud Scissors. The sentiment is from Inspirational Sayings and the images are from Circle Sampler. I used Palette Hybrid Iris and Cognac inks. I added shimmer with my Stardust Clear Glitter Gel Pen. The brads were added with my Crop-A-Dile. I used my Scor-Pal to score all the cards.

This is one of my favorite stamp sets from TAC but sadly it is retired. I paper pieced the clothing of Mary and Joseph with Lilly Anna designer paper and the swaddling clothes on baby Jesus is paper pieced from Juliette. It's purple but you can't really tell it from the photograph. I sponged the "floor" with Cognac and the "walls" with Burnt Umber. The little images are from the Circle Sampler stamp set and inked in Cognac, as well. The shimmer is from the Stardust Clear Glitter Gel Pen. The rest was colored in using Tombow bright markers, Copic markers, and Hazelnut Memory Marker.

The last two cards were super fun to make. They are Pinwheels with a faux button in the center. I used my Crop-A-Dile and some ribbon with a small circle punch to create a fun little button using Lilly Anna designer paper. The sentiment is also from the retired The Only Thing stamp set. I hope you enjoy checking out some very non-traditional cards.

Hey, everyone!

I wanted to show you the last two cards I created for the Christmas Card Club challenge. This month's challenge was to create a "long" card.
I used the Penelope designer paper from The Angel Company. I stamped the sentiment from Trendy Greetings on Reece designer paper then punched it out with my Super Jumbo Circle punch. I punched a piece of Penelope designer paper with my Mega Scalloped Circle punch.

I used my Build-A-Background hostess set to create the starry background on the Penelope designer paper with my Noir Palette Hybrid ink pad. The Trendy Greetings sentiment was stamped onto a piece of Reece designer paper and then punched with my Super Jumbo Oval punch.

Four Christmas cards made this year, 30 more to go!! I am not sure what the new challenge will be for next month but I am looking forward to making four more!

Hey, everyone!!

We are snowed in! We got a lot of snow, someone said 7" and that was on top of what we already had and guess what? Predictions of more snow this weekend! Yuck! Kadesia has loved being out on snow days but I reminded her that for everyday she misses due to snow, she will have to make it up, and most likely when the weather is nice and pretty!! No fair, huh? LOL I am definitely looking forward to warmer temperatures soon! Meanwhile, since it's so cold outside, it seemed fitting for me to make another Christmas Card. You can read about the challenge here.
My card is 6½" squared then scored at 3¼" with my Scor-Pal. The paper pack is Reece from The Angel Company. The sentiment is from Inspirational Sayings from TAC stamped in Jardin Moss. I hope you enjoyed seeing today's card. Stay warm!!!

Hey, everyone!

Guess what I made? A Christmas card! LOL Don't throw tomatoes at me! I know, I know!! We just had Christmas and many of us are probably not so eager to get a jump start on Christmas cards and projects, but there are actually quite a few paper crafters and non-paper crafters for that matter, that start early shopping bargains, sales and getting good deals so that it's not such a burden later on in the year! This year I decided that all of my customers are so special to me that I would like to send each of you a special Christmas card and so I will spend the next 10 or 11 months making about 3-4 cards each month and when it's time to I will mail them all to you! Want to see the first one I made?
The challenge was to make a "long" card. This card measures 6½" x 6½" and then I scored it at 3¼" on my Scor-Pal. I used The Angel Company's Penelope paper collection. The tag is from the Penelope paper pack and I stamped "peace on earth" from TAC's Tag Tidbits stamp set in Noir Palette Hybrid Ink. The purple circle is punched with the Super Jumbo Circle Marvy Clever Lever punch from TAC. The scalloped circle is punched with my Mega Scalloped Circle Marvy Clever Lever punch, also from TAC. I used the Willoughby ribbon and just love it! The self-adhesive pearl on top of the tag is from my stash and the scalloped circle layer is on pop dots for dimension.

Now if you are not in the mood to make your holiday greeting cards this early in the year, I don't blame you! LOL But you can still take these measurements and TAC tools, grab your favorite stamps and papers and create a fabulous card, too! The bonus is that this card will fit in a business sized envelope for no additional postage! You gotta love that! Hope you'll share your links with me so I can see the cards you have made, too!

Christmas Card Challenge

Hey, everyone!

I know! I know! Fall just began! Believe me, I am embracing the autumn weather and so happy it is here! I am by no means attempting to rush Mother Nature and ask for Old Man Winter to make an appearance any sooner than he has to, but I do want to share a card with you that I made for a Christmas Card Challenge I took earlier this year. Here is the card:

Reindeer already?

Hey, everyone!

I am doing a Christmas Card Challenge this year at PaperWings. Each month I am supposed to make so many Christmas cards so that I won't have to sit and do them all at once. I haven't really been as inspired to do that this year. I have only made 5 cards so far including this one, but as the weather keeps turning cooler, the seasons continue to change, I will do more!!

I purchased the Reindeer Food stamp set because of the poem in the set. I am going to make some Reindeer Food and use the poem for a topper. It's going to be great. You can purchase this stamp set, also, if you'd like! I started out creating an ATC card and then decided to put it on a card and use it for my CCC. What do you think?

I am using Burnt Umber Palette Hybrid Ink. The deer and cloud flourish are from the Reindeer Food stamp set. The sentiment "noel" is from Tag Tidbits. Fun Challenge!

Hey, everyone!

It's March 1!!!! Is that not crazy??? Wow! Looking back over the past couple months, I have been really busy but it was doing fun things so I haven't felt stressed or frustrated like I did a lot last year. It is great to work on fun things again and only the challenges I want to do!!! Speaking of fun things and challenges...I have some fun things to share with you today and part of it is a new challenge I accepted!!! Here we go:

I apologize for the blurry photo! I don't know why my camera does that sometimes. I kept adjusting the settings and it still wouldn't work properly! This is the prize package I am splitting up for Christina and Brenda since they tied for leaving me the most comments on my blog this month...21 EACH! Thank you ladies! I hope you enjoy your gifts!!! I will e-mail you to let you know when I have mailed your packages to you!
Have you seen this book before? I got it for only ONE DOLLAR at the Dollar Tree! I was so excited. I have seen some episodes of Knitty Gritty on television before and LOVED it so I looked through the book quickly and there's so many fun patterns in this book! I had to snatch it up!!! Yay! It's a great book with a really kewl system to rate each project. Most will say beginner, intermediate, advanced but she rates her projects in terms of how long it takes each project like: PLAYDATE, WEEKEND AT NANA'S, SUMMER CAMP so I thought that was kewl! Speaking of knitting, I have managed to knit a few more rows while Kadesia was at gymnastics and then a little today while I was waiting on something else. I will share a photo soon, I promise!
Yes, I know it's only March 1 and NO I am really NOT rushing Christmas along, but here's the challenge part... Last year I signed up for a Christmas card challenge but then I didn't do so well! Ugh! I just had too many other things going. This year I decided to try the challenge again. I set a goal of how many cards I want to make each month. For February, I wanted to make 3 and I did it just in the knick of time! I will sign these and address them tonight or tomorrow sometime and put them in my little holder. I am so glad I got these done!! Yay!
I designed this card so that it looks like wall paper and a window with some wall art! I hope you can "get" that from seeing it. I had a lot of fun doing this one! The stars were stamped with the star from the Wild West stamp set from The Angel Company. The snow and snowman are all sparkly with Prisma Glitter. The sky is sponged in Reflection Blue ink. The "JOY" sentiment is stamped with Iris Palette ink and the stars have my Purple Tombow marker outlined.
This is a stamp set that was offered in December. I just love this Whimsy Santa. He's so cute! I used Prisma Glitter for the snow and to outline his hat and coat. The sky is sponged with Starry Night Palette ink. The image was stamped with Noir Palette ink. The basket and wooden handles are colored in the Chestnut Memory Marker.
This card uses Burnt Umber sponged on the base card and around the script designer paper. The brown cardstock and sentiment edges also have Burnt Umber on them. I used Red and Green Tombow markers to color in the image and then L'Amour Red and Viridian Leaf for the sentiment. The sentiment is a FREE Gift With Purchase stamp that you can get with any $30 purchase!
