Tutorial Tuesday: Chip Clips

Hey, everyone!

My family and I are taking a trip soon. I am definitely looking forward to getting away with my family. It will be so nice! Often on those long car rides, it's nice to have some snacks on hand to munch on when it's just not easy to stop off at a restaurant going down the Interstate. To keep the chips or other car trip treats fresh, I like to place a chip clip on the bag. It prevents spills and keeps everything contained nicely.

I know that I can purchase chip clips inexpensively at various discount stores. I also realize that during the summer months, like we are in now, I can usually pick up a couple of chip clips for free at various vendor booths during the 4-H Fair and various local festivals. I have been known to do that because they are usually decent quality and they are free after all, but when I want something especially pretty or customized for the colors in my kitchen I will just make my own!

I have made a LOT of chip clips through the years. They are so easy to make and fun to come up with different colors and patterns. It also is a great way to use up designer paper scraps that are just lying around. You can make these with kids at Vacation Bible School, Sunday School, Children's Church, youth group, or just with your own family or friends. By adding a magnetic strip to the back, they become very useful note holders that stick to the side of the fridge. These are great for hanging on to important papers. Add a sticky note pad to the clip and it becomes an instant magnetic note holder.

You can see some of the chip clips I have created before HERE. I am sharing a YouTube video with you now that shows you step-by-step directions on creating your very own customized chip clip. Please leave me a comment below and let me know what you use your chip clips for!
Thanks for watching! Hope you enjoyed the tutorial. I will be back again soon with another video. I will be vlogging my upcoming trip, too, so I will share that video once I get it posted. If you want to know when new videos are uploaded, please subscribe to my YouTube channel.

Organizing Big Shot Dies and Embossing Folders

Hey everyone!

free glitter text and family website at FamilyLobby.com
Today's tutorial is a quick tip for getting organized. I love my Big Shot and use it for so many projects. The dies are fun and make life so much easier when cutting out fabulous shapes perfectly every time. The embossing folders add a great texture to the cards without adding a lot of bulk. It's great! But trying to find a place to store everything, especially in a small craft space that I share with my laundry, can be a challenge. I found the solution to meet my storage needs and you will find out more in this video. Enjoy!
Do you have a fun organizing tip for me? What is your new favorite thing you purchased or repurposed to organize your fun crafting supplies?

Time for a tutorial!!!

Hey everyone!

Today is the end of my first full week of blogging. Other than the "technical" difficulties I had yesterday I have been able to post every day so far and I am so excited about the different themes. Do you like them?

I really like to make lots of craft projects, handmade cards, gifts, scrapbook pages, and I love showing other people how to make these items, too. I haven't filmed a video tutorial in a while. My craft room/laundry room is being remodeled so it's been really challenging to get anything created and posted. However, for today's post I am going to create and post a video tutorial for you all. I hope you will enjoy visiting each week for
