StampTACular Tuesday Challenge Announcement

Hey, everyone!

I have a little announcement to make about the StampTACular Tuesday Challenge my friend Christina and I do each week. We love doing the challenges and coming up with fun projects for you all to try using TAC stamps and supplies. However, Christina is in the process of moving (read her blog for more information) and I have been swamped with tons of things to do, as well. My daughter signed up to be in the Mini Miss pageant at the 4H fair this year, she's in gymnastics once a week, I told you about Javan getting a concussion, my mom has been helping me go through every room in my house (and we are not done yet) for a huge 3 family garage sale we're having in July, and I am planning an open house very soon with the new catalog being released in a few more days so I am busy, busy, busy! Since we both have so much on our plates, we decided to take a break from doing the challenges this summer, work on some ways to make the challenge more fun for all of you to participate, and this fall we will have a lot in store for you!

I will definitely continue to participate in the weekly scripture challenge. I have several projects to share with you and since I have new batteries for my camera now, I will do that soon! Thanks for hanging out with me today! I appreciate all the thoughts and kind words about my son! It has been quite an ordeal but he's doing much, much better!

StampTACular Tuesday Challenge Father's Day Keepsake

Hey, everyone!

Happy StampTACular Tuesday! It's time for Christina and I to challenge you once again to make a really fun project! With Father's Day just ahead we wanted to make a project just for DAD! We decided to use a tutorial found at RANDOM ON PURPOSE. I did not follow the directions completely but I like how it turned out! I wanted to make a little book for my husband that my children can give to him for Father's Day. It's such a sweet size and by making it a little book, he can keep it on his night stand or tuck it in his pocket!


Even though the book is small, there are several pages inside. It can hold small photos, little quotes, drawings from the kids, and even favorite memories they share with Dad.

I hope you will make one of these books, too. They are so much fun to create and take very little time. They make terrific gifts for anyone, on any occasion or no occasion at all.

To create my book I used a retired pack of paper from The Angel Company, but for a Father's Day gift you could always use the Just Like Dad paper collection. I love it!

The circle and scalloped circle punches are found in the current catalog. The white gel pen is a must-have and less than $2! It adds a nice effect with the doodle dots. The sentiment is from the Dear Friend stamp set found in Serendipity. The satin ribbon is something I have had in my stash. StampTACular Tuesday Challenge RECIPE HOLDERS

Hey, everyone!

I cannot believe today is the last day of school here. It would have already ended but the kids had to make up the days they missed due to the weather this winter. I'm picking my daughter up at lunch and her summer vacation will start! Tonight is my daughter's first night of her ADVANCED class in gymnastics! She is very excited and I am glad for the change in schedule...different night of the week and at a later time! I am very proud of her! All her hard work is paying off!

Today, Christina and I have made something really fun for the StampTACular Tuesday Challenge. We hope you'll join us! Leave us a comment and a link to show us what you've made. Today's Challenge is RECIPE HOLDERS! Here's mine:

I used 2 pieces of matboard glued together with a glue stick and left to dry. Then I adhered a piece of black cardstock to front and back. The base measures 4½" x 6½" and then I layered on a piece of Winterberry designer paper. The alphabet stickers are from the Kaleidoscope Brites pack and matted with Premium White Cardstock. All these supplies are available through The Angel Company! I then took a piece of Winterberry and added it to my binder clip along with some ribbon from my stash. My daughter swept a layer of Mod Podge along the edges and top so it would be stain resistant and more durable.

This is another way it can hold a recipe...with the clip on the side. I think it will be a lot of fun to use in the kitchen! What do you think of this project? Be sure to go check out Christina's blog for her awesome project!

I thought I'd share the Breakfast Pizza recipe (seen in the picture above). I've never tried it yet but it may be something we can try this summer! It sure sounds like a yummy breakfast item!

BREAKFAST PIZZA

6 SERVINGS

1 (10 oz.) can refrigerated biscuit dough

½ lb. bacon slices

2 tablespoons margarine or butter

2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

¼ teaspoon salt

1/8 teaspoon black pepper

1½ cups milk

½ cup (2 oz.) shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese

¼ cup sliced green onions

¼ cup chopped red bell pepper

Preheat oven to 350* F. Spray 13"x9" baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.

Separate biscuit dough and arrange side by side in rectangle on lightly floured surface without overlapping. Roll into 14"x10" rectangle.

Place in prepared dish; pat edges up sides of dish.

Bake 15 minutes. Remove from oven and set aside.

Meanwhile, place bacon in single layer in large skillet; cook over medium heat until crisp. Remove from skillet, drain on paper towels. Crumble and set aside.

Melt margarine in medium saucepan over medium heat. Stir in flour, salt and black pepper until smooth. Gradually stir in milk; cook and stir until thickened. Stir in cheese until melted.

Spread sauce evenly over baked crust. Sprinkle bacon, green onions and bell pepper over sauce.

Bake, uncovered, 20 minutes or until crust is golden brown.

StampTACular Tuesday Challenge TEA FOR 2

Hey, everyone!!

I don't have to tell you what today is, right? Christina and I are back this week with another fun challenge and we want you to join us! Today we made a gift and a card all in one...it's a two tea bag holder card! I love this idea and if you could only smell my card inside....the flavored tea smells like candy canes! Mmm! StampTACular Tuesday Challenge GONE FLORAL!

There is no stamping on this card yet because it really could be for a variety of occasions. I used Burnt Umber Palette Hybrid Ink Pad to distress the flower pot a little. The flowers are punched from the Winterberry Paper Pad. I love, love, love this paper! Be sure you check out Christina's awesome flower pot card. It is beautiful!!!! You will love it. Gifts for Mother's Day!

Hey, everyone!

Today's StampTACular Tuesday Challenge is a little different than usual. Today, Christina and I are making mini albums for our mothers-in-law. I know they will enjoy receiving these on Mother's Day! Here is the mini album I made.

My mom told me she wanted me to make her a dishwasher magnet that said CLEAN and DIRTY. I thought OKAY! So here it is...

Gotta love those Stardust Glitter Gel Pens! The pig stamp is from a former TAC Stamp of the Month. I sponged him in Burnt Umber for a dirty look. I used my Chestnut Memory Marker for coloring in the word DIRTY and the "mud" beneath the pig. I used my Pink Brights Tombow marker to color in the pig and my Stardust Glitter Gel Pens to create some shimmer. I hope she likes this magnet! Tomorrow is my Scripture Challenge and Christina will be sharing her page on her blog, too. I have a few more things to share with you, too, so be sure to hang out with me again tomorrow!

Scramping Part 1!

Hey everyone!

Thanks for hanging out with me for another StampTACular Tuesday! This week is all about scramping here at Hoosier Card Angel Creations. I love using my stamps to create borders, backgrounds, titles and embellishments on my scrapbook layouts. I get more for my money and these days saving every cent is essential! Here's my layout!


This is a 12x12 layout that I wanted to be a little different. Of course bedtime around is here is a fiasco most nights and I really wasn't sure what all I wanted to do here. I grabbed one of the stamps from the Sprigs stamp set that looks like a vine to create a zig zag border. The title is made with my Scriptybet alphabet stamp set in Burnt Umber Palette Hybrid ink. I love the big letters in this set for titles and names! The journaling is done with the Chestnut Memory Marker and I added a faux rhinestone on the dot of the "i" in swing. I had SOOOO much fun Saturday with Shelly, Carolyn, Sherry and Jama! (That's a full kitchen in my house!) LOL I am going to have a celebration on Saturday, May 2, in honor of National Scrapbooking Day and since space is an issue I am having a 4 hour event! You can come anytime between 10 am and 2 pm to check out my TAC tools, paper, stamps and projects. We are making a couple of make 'n takes that are scrapbook related and I will be having a drawing! Just a note!

Hey, everyone!

You know what today is, right? StampTACular Tuesday and I am here with a Challenge! You will need your Scor-Pal, white cardstock, Noir Palette ink, Viridian Leaf Palette ink, Trendy Greetings stamp set, and For A Friend GWP stamp. If you don't have those specific items, you can substitute what you do have. Today's card features a fun way to use those FREE Gift With Purchase stamps that The Angel Company offers with any $30 purchase.
Cut your white cardstock to 3" x 6" and then score at 3", 4" and 5". Fold your card in half with the raised score lines showing on the front of your card, facing out. (see photo for detail) Ink up the "Just a Note" sentiment from the Trendy Greetings stamp set with your Noir Palette ink. Stamp in the center of your card between the two score lines. Stamp the leaves from the GWP stamp set in Viridian Leaf Palette ink in a random pattern along the top and bottom portions of the card. Now you are finished and have a sweet little note card made up to put in your child's lunch box, your husband's vehicle, to leave by the phone or on your desk to write notes to the school, a word of encouragement for your friend, or as a reminder of things you need to do!

StampTACular Tuesday Challenge

Hey, everyone!

It's time again for the StampTACular Tuesday Challenge. I decided to focus on some of our paper that we carry. I love the variety you get with each paper pack and the catalog shows what coordinating cardstock goes with the designer papers, as well as the inks that match it. I like that feature a lot. It saves me time and really takes all the guess work out for me.

I got an e-mail from a really sweet lady a few days ago. She was asking me about TAC and so I put a package together for her. Here is the notepad I made for her. This measures 3¼" x 5¼" when closed. The cover is made with the Kaleidoscope Brites paper. The sticky notes inside measure 3"x5". The sentiment is stamped on some white cardstock that I had in my scrap pile with Burnt Sienna Palette Hybrid Ink. The "Just a Note" is from the Trendy Greetings stamp set and the flower is from the Circle Sampler stamp set. I put some glue on the center of the flower and along the petals then added our ultrafine Prisma Glitter to give it a little bit of shimmer!
This 3"x3" card is made with some Willoughby cardstock. I punched a scalloped circle from the Willoughby designer paper and then added "Many Thanks" from the Tag Tidbit stamp set. I placed a circle around the sentiment with the Circle Sampler stamp set. I added some shimmer with my glue pen and the Prisma Glitter. The ink used for this card is Burnt Umber Palette Hybrid Ink.

My Angel Sister, Jany, would be proud of me I think! I have been in more family photos since she shared her story with me than in the 9 years Paul and I have been a couple. I am not a photogenic person and I really do not like having my picture taken at all. I definitely prefer to be behind the camera but sometimes I will ask someone else to take our photo so my children can see what our family looked like throughout the years. This was taken at my parents' house on Easter. We had so much fun!

I kept wondering today what on earth could make my forearms hurt so much and it finally dawned on me...we went 4-wheelin' and Paul actually let me drive for a while. It is licensed to go on the county roads and so it was a lot of work to hold the steering straight and going around sharp curves and down hill I had to hold the hand brake and work the throttle. I have tendonitis really bad in my hands and by the time I got back it felt like my hands were broken! LOL But it was such a nice day...a little chilly riding down the road but it was really fun and I enjoyed it all!

StampTACular Tuesday Challenge

I was trying to be clever and schedule this post ahead of time but for some reason it posted early. It is another Tuesday, so here at Hoosier Card Angel Creations I have a StampTACular Tuesday Challenge and my friend Christina always participates! We have a lot of fun with these challenges. Go see what she came up with for this fun challenge!
Here is my card. I used the Squiggle Ladybugs and Circle Sampler stamp sets from The Angel Company. I had so much fun making this card. I was inspired by this card. My goal was to use up my scraps and create my own background using stamps. I am very excited at how well it turned out. The ink is L'Amour Red and Noir Palette Hybrid ink.

StampTACular Tuesday Challenge

It's StampTACular Tuesday and that means it's time for another Challenge using only TAC stamps. Our theme is not WELCOME SPRING like I said yesterday, because that was actually last week's theme! This week our Challenge theme is Easter so Christina and I made Easter cards. She showed me a sketch HERE that I used for inspiration. Here is my card:
I used Kaleidoscope Brites paper from The Angel Company and the two stamp sets are Trendy Greetings and Fantasy Flourishes. I used Noir Palette Hybrid ink for the sentiment and Reflection Blue Palette Hybrid ink for the flourish. I hope you like what you see. Thanks for checking out my blog today. StampTACular Tuesday Challenge

Hey, everyone!

With spring finally here, I decided to make a fun treat bag. I am using the Butterfly Swirls stamp set and added shimmer with my Prisma Glitter and Stardust Glitter Gel Pens. This is a cute bag that would make fun party favors!

To make a treat bag like mine, simply cut your designer paper to measure 10½" x 5 7/8". Place the paper lengthwise on your Scor-Pal and score at 1", 2", 5", 6", 7" and 10". Rotate your paper widthwise, lining up the left side of your paper to the 3/8" mark on your Scor-Pal and score at 1" and 5". Fold your score lines and adhere them together. I used my Crop-A-Dile to punch two holes in the top and ran some satin ribbon through and tied in a bow. Let me know if you need a more detailed tutorial and I will share one.

St. Patrick's Day StampTACular Tuesday Challenge

Hey, everyone!

Thank you for stopping by today! Happy St. Patrick's Day!!! This is a wonderful day. My daughter and I will be making our traditional sugar cookies with green sprinkles on them but I will also be sharing this tradition with my son who is 19 months old today! I am so excited to see what he thinks of baking cookies for the first time ever!

I made a card to share with you for the StampTACular Tuesday Challenge. Christina and I love St. Patrick's Day so we are using the Celtic Images stamp set. This is a fantastic set!! Be sure you check out what Christina made and leave her a little love! I decided to just share a card with you all today. I have shared other St. Patrick's Day items the past few days so today I just made a card. I wanted to show how versatile it is to use this stamp with other elements besides Willoughby. This designer paper is from the JUST LIKE DAD paper pack that we carry. The stamp is inked in Viridian Leaf and then colored in with my green Stardust Glitter Gel Pen and it really shimmers! I used my white gel pen for the doodle dots and faux stitches. I hope you like it!

StampTACular Tuesday Challenge

Hey, everyone!

It's time for another StampTACular Tuesday and if you haven't noticed I started doing the weekly challenges a little differently this month. I am featuring a GWP stamp that is retired and this week I want to feature some of our paper, too! This week's theme is BIRTHDAY and my friend CHRISTINA'S daughter, Michelle, is having a birthday in just a couple days. Happy Early Birthday, Michelle! I wanted to send her a birthday card and thought that she might like her own notebook, too. She can make it anything she wants.

I put an "M" monogram on the front of the notebook and then added Prisma Glitter on top so the "M" is really sparkly. The butterflies are foam stickers and so fun! I left some blank space so Michelle can personalize it more if she wants to.

The pages inside are lined 3"x5" index cards. I am using the TAC paper Kaleidoscope Brites and decided to make a small border at the top of each index card. She can add tabs to the pages or leave them as is.

I hope she likes it and I hope you all do, too! It was so fun and easy to make. I made two chipboard covers measuring 3½" x 5½" with 4 pieces of Kaleidoscope Brites cut to the same size. The O-Wires are 5/8" and I made the book with my Bind-It-All. Thanks for stopping by to see what I made today. StampTACular Tuesday Challenge

Hey, everyone!

Today's post is a little late...okay, a lot late! LOL But it's better late than never, right? I had made this card a week ago and just hadn't scanned it in. This card is using the Butterfly Swirls stamp set. This is the last Tuesday of this month so that means this will be the last StampTACular Tuesday Challenge for February. I hope you have enjoyed all of the great projects so many have made with this set. I hope it will inspire and encourage you to use this set, too.

The image is embossed with gold embossing powder. The dots are made with a gold glitter gel pen. The satin ribbon is a chocolate brown that I love. It's so pretty! I left off the sentiment because it could be used for several different things.

PAPER BAG GIFT CARD TUTORIAL

Hey, everyone!

It's StampTACular Tuesday so you know what that means...more Butterfly Swirls! Today I decided to post a written tutorial on how to make these fun gift card holders. I have made a few of these and they are really easy to make! You could make several in such a short time.

The first thing you want to do is gather your supplies. Here's what you will need:

1 piece of pink cardstock measured at 5½" x 8½"
Score this piece at 2” and 5½” along the 8½" side.
1 piece of black cardstock (V-215) measured at 2½” x 2½”
1 piece of Premium White cardstock (V-290) measured at 2” x 2”
1 paper bag cut at 3¼”.

Black Noir Palette Ink (TT-220)

My Journey stamp set (T-2617)

Butterfly Swirls stamp set (T-2929)

Pink Stickles (F-525)

Crystal Stickles (F-516)

Ribbon

Scor-Pal (F-358)

Tombow Brights markers (F-01)

To begin you will need to fold along the score lines. Stamp the outside using the butterflies and swirls. Stamp butterfly image on Premium White cardstock. Stamp sentiment below butterfly. Color in the butterfly. Mat the white cardstock with black cardstock. Apply adhesive to upper back half of this layer. Adhere to the card leaving the bottom portion hanging down.

Open the card and apply adhesive on one side of the bag only. Line the bag up to the inside cover of your card. Adhere ribbon to lower portion of your card. Apply adhesive to the other side of the bag and close the flap to seal it.

Now you can insert a gift card, money, special note or a small gift inside and you are done! So fun and so easy to do!!

StampTACular Tuesday Challenge

Hey, everyone!

This month I am featuring the Butterfly Swirls stamp set (T-2929). I chose to make a card this week and I was trying to use other colors besides pink or purple! I tend to think of those colors when I think of butterflies, so this time I went a different direction! I first stamped the butterfly using Burnt Umber Hybrid Palette Ink (TT-218). I stamped this directly onto a blue and yellow plaid paper. I cut out the wings using my Kai scissors (C-1220). I stamped the image again onto the card and then layered the wings I had paper pieced with pop dots (D-89) on top of the stamped image so the wings have a raised effect to them. The sentiment is a free GWP stamp "Because" (TG-2973). You get your choice of 15 GWP stamps for every $30 purchase.
