I want to wish my sweet baby boy a very happy 3rd birthday! Here he is with his invitation:
His dad helped me with the invitations. We embossed the Running Stitches stamp set from The Angel Company on Kraft cardstock with black embossing powder. The "You're Invited" is computer generated. Lightning McQueen and Tow Mater are embossed as well and Paul colored them with my Copics, Tombows and Bic Mark-Its. Here's another look at the invitation:
I sponged the Kraft cardstock with Burnt Umber Palette Hybrid ink. I used my Cricut Cartridge CARS for the "Pit Stop" inside:
I sponged the inside as well. The font is all computer generated, too.
These are the treat bags. Javan and I made pencil pouches. See the screw brad? I love it! That's from TAC, as well. I used the Tag Tidbits and Sweet Goodies stamp sets for the tootsie roll package. There's 3 tootsie rolls because they are Javan's favorite candy and he is 3 years old today! The three theme is continued with the three pencils and a third party favor: a wrapped granola bar in Javan's favorite flavor peanut butter. Javan and I embossed the Nestabilities Label to create a fun look for his bag topper and granola wrapper. The embossing came from a Cuttlebug folder Diamond Plate. It's an invitation for a little girl's DIVA themed birthday party! Here's a look at the inside:
I am very excited with the way that it came out! The only requirements was for it to be DIVA themed, an invitation, and in colors hot pink and black! NO PROBLEM!! I used the Uptown Girl designer paper from The Angel Company, the black cardstock is not. The pink satin ribbon was from Walmart. I used my Mega Scalloped Circle Punch from TAC for the image. The stamp is a digital image from The Greeting Farm called Pretty Head Rachel, and I used my Cricut Storybook cartridge for the black scalloped circle and the black and white layers on the lower left. The crown stamp is from a retired TAC stamp set called Circle Sampler. The faux rhinestones are from Walmart, as well. I used my Bic Mark-It's for the hair, my Copics for the skin, my Stardust (clear) gel pen for the eye shadow, necklace, accents on the barrette and crown. My pink Tombow marker (Brights) for the lipstick, barrette and necklace accents, the crown and t-shirt. I used my Black Tombow marker (Brights) for the shirt and barrette. The doodle dots were made with my white gel pen. The inside of the invitation is all computer journaling. I hope she likes these!! What do you think?
For my final swap project I want to show you, I made a gift card holder. This is another swap I signed up for at Paper Wings. I really like the Tutti Frutti paper that we carry! It's so fun! Inside I stamped a birthday sentiment. I left a lot of the white showing inside so the gift-giver can add their own doodle dots, fun stamps or designer paper that they would like or they can simply write a short and sweet note in the white section!
Tomorrow I will share with you the fun projects we'll be making at Memory Lane Scrapbooking store in Bedford on October 9.
