Are you the kind of person who can just go out and purchase 4-5 brand new beauty products including a makeup bag each and every month? I know I cannot do it! I don't like to spend money on products that just don't quite work for me, but I do like to try new things. That is why I chose to become an Ipsy subscriber!
I just do not have the budget to purchase a lot of new and trending items on the market each month. I don't even want to! If I am not sure the color is right for me, or the fragrance won't give me a headache, then I am not going to purchase it sight unseen!
My daughter is 12 years old. She has been dabbling in make-up for 3-4 years now. I don't let her go crazy but I experimented with make-up at a young age and loved trying it out. She likes colors that I am not so crazy about. I am not a pre-teen and at my age I hope I don't look like a seventh grader! Our skin tones are not quite the same. She takes after her dad who has fair skin. My skin tone is more of an olive. So, it is not feasible to buy us both make-up to suit our personalities when we aren't even sure what all is available.
With my crazy schedule in the nursing program, it is difficult to get the time for myself to check out all the latest beauty products on the market, but that is why I love Ipsy. Each month I spend $10 and I get a different make-up bag with a zippered closure. The bags are so nice! I also get to try out new products in generous sample sizes. I even get coupons to purchase those items for a discount if I choose to. I just clicked on my personal preferences and each month I get things that both my daughter and I can try and enjoy that we wouldn't be able to otherwise.
Does this sound like something you want to try? Then why not join me on ipsy and subscribe to the Glam Bag! You get 4-5 beauty products every month delivered to your door, for just $10. Michelle Phan curates the bags! Check it out here: http://www.ipsy.com/r/dp43

Hugs,

Now I do not remember how to do counted-cross-stitching, but I picked up one of these at Walmart a while back. You can get any shape but I like the hearts because you get lines going straight across, curved and angled (like for a square). This one template will let you take your piercing tool and create a perfect line of holes for paper piercing. After punching holes in your cardstock, run a white gel pen, or any marker of your choice along the lines and it looks like you stitched your card! So fun!! I love it when one product can do so many different things!
This is Scrapper's Floss from Karen Foster Design. As an Angel with The Angel Company, I can tell you that we do carry this product. It's only $3.95 for 30 yards of floss! This post is not an ad for TAC, however. I just wanted you to see that there are so many fun things you can do with it. I have used it for string to go below some balloon diecuts I made for a birthday scrapbook page. I have threaded it through buttons. It's fun to wrap around ribbon and tie at the end of tags. You can get it from TAC in various colors. My Frugal Friday tip is to get the White Scrapper's Floss. You can color it with your markers or run it along your ink pad. Instead of having white, now you can coordinate with the colors you are using in your projects. It's such a bargain at under $4 for so much floss!!! You have the option of changing the white or leaving it as is, and with all these (and many other) uses for Scrapper's Floss, this would be a really great purchase. Let your Angel know you'd like to order some. If you don't have an Angel I would be pleased to be yours! Have a fantastic weekend and I hope you'll visit tomorrow! I have a Kid Friendly project to share with you that I think you will enjoy!
Isn't this the cutest little blog award?! I love it! My sweet friend
