I started a new job just a short time before my birthday, maybe a week or two, and was very surprised to be included in part of a birthday celebration they were having for a co-worker who was having a birthday close to mine! I thought it was really sweet of them to do that! One of my co-workers is a scrapper and stamper, too. I love chatting with her about Copics, ATG guns and more! She is a delight to work with and she fills everyone's mailboxes with goodies and special treats for their birthdays and holidays. Just look at the sweet little treat she left for me in my mailbox for my birthday!

Kathy is super creative and I love how she made this fun little box in my favorite colors (how did she know??) to hold some yummy Ghiradelli chocolate squares. Yum! I wanted to make a thank you card for her kindness. I knew right away I wanted to use the little girl from the Brighten Your Day stamp set (T3263)! I just love that fun stamp set!!
I used my Wizard (K308) and Labels 1 Nestabilities (K300) to create the background. I ran the brown cardstock through my Wizard (K308) with my Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder for more texture. To paper piece her hair bows, collar, shirt and pants I used the double-sided Emma Soar With It Collections designer paper (V856). I used the coordinating Emma Cardstock (B326) for the card base and background. I colored her hair with my Bic Mark-It's for some shine and then her skin was colored with my Copics.
Those shapes make a fun little insert to leave a message! The sentiment says You're so thoughtful! I'm so thankful! That comes from the same stamp set, Brighten Your Day (T3263). Speaking of thank you cards...I created some thank you note cards for customers that placed an order with me. I miss getting to do that but right now my stamping supplies are in storage so I am really limited with what I can do! Take a look at these:
I used my Nesties Label 1 on the front of these, too. The sentiment "for you" on the front is from Tag Tidbits (T-1186). These cards were created using our new double-sided Maggie designer paper (V847) and coordinating Maggie cardstock (B326).Hope you enjoy seeing these fun projects and my birthday treat! For the card base I chose some Kraft cardstock I had. I layered on green cardstock next from the new double-sided Emma coordinating cardstock. I love this gorgeous floral patterned paper so I used it for my main image. It was too pretty to cover up. I took my Labels 1 Nestabilities and my Wizard to create the "many thanks" layers. Those cardstocks are from Emma, too. The sentiment is from the Tag Tidbits in Raw Sienna Palette Hybrid ink. I ran my Clear Stardust Gelly Pen over the letters for a little shimmer! I rounded the bottom corners of the card and layers with my Corner Chomper! Love it!! The inside is the gray color, with the corners rounded as well.
His dad helped me with the invitations. We embossed the Running Stitches stamp set from The Angel Company on Kraft cardstock with black embossing powder. The "You're Invited" is computer generated. Lightning McQueen and Tow Mater are embossed as well and Paul colored them with my Copics, Tombows and Bic Mark-Its. Here's another look at the invitation:
I sponged the Kraft cardstock with Burnt Umber Palette Hybrid ink. I used my Cricut Cartridge CARS for the "Pit Stop" inside:

These are the treat bags. Javan and I made pencil pouches. See the screw brad? I love it! That's from TAC, as well. I used the Tag Tidbits and Sweet Goodies stamp sets for the tootsie roll package. There's 3 tootsie rolls because they are Javan's favorite candy and he is 3 years old today! The three theme is continued with the three pencils and a third party favor: a wrapped granola bar in Javan's favorite flavor peanut butter. Javan and I embossed the Nestabilities Label to create a fun look for his bag topper and granola wrapper. The embossing came from a Cuttlebug folder Diamond Plate. I hope he has the best birthday ever!!
