BOYS AND THEIR TOYS...

Hey, everyone!
Walgreens just had a one day only special where you could get 20 4x6 prints for free! What a deal, huh? I loved that!! So I hurried over and had some copies made. I was so excited to get them that I wanted to go ahead and make a scrapbook layout. I've been wanting to do some scrapbooking for a long time and this was just the project for me! A one page layout, super quick and easy and super fun! Take a look:The title is computer generated using Cafe Rojo font. The circle in the center is stamped with Palette Hybrid Starry Night ink using the Family Is Forever stamp set from The Angel Company. The punches are from TAC as well. I added some journaling and there you have it! Not the best photo of the layout, as there is a glare but it's very late and taking a decent photo right now is probably not going to be a possibility! Thanks for hanging out with me today! Go grab a few photos and make a page! Don't forget the journaling! Hope to see you back here tomorrow. I am sharing a NO FEAR challenge page!

A gift to warm the heart...and tummy!

Hey, everyone!!

Have you ever been checking out other blogs and suddenly you come across a project that is so amazing that you absolutely must try it right then? I know, me, too!!! Isn't that so exciting? My sweet husband got me all the things I needed to make this adorable project that I found on Paper Jewels blog! Warning!!! Once you go there you will find a LOT of those GOTTA MAKE IT NOW projects! I love her!! Okay so I want to show you my project BEFORE you go see hers because well mine isn't as amazing as hers!! LOL But I am still proud of it and I am sure Kadesia's teacher will be really happy to get this! So here is my Window Box Treat Holder:

I used Premium White Cardstock from The Angel Company, red cardstock for the heart and largest scalloped square. The scalloped square punches are both from TAC. The "Love" sentiment is from Family Is Forever (yes I know I use that a lot but it's an amazingly versatile stamp set!), "a gift for you" is from Sweet Goodies, as is this adorable heart. I stamped these in Palette Hybrid Ink (Bordeaux). I stamped the heart twice, the second time I cut it out and used a pop dot for more dimension.
Paper Jewels creativity doesn't just end with the Window Box Treat! Oh no, she then shares this amazing recipe for Marshmallow suckers to stir in your hot chocolate! Isn't she too much?? I love, love, love this! It was super fast and easy to make these and guess what? Paul bought me the heart shaped marshmallows. Isn't that sweet of him? Since these are so easy to make, I decided to make a sucker for Kadesia and each one of her classmates for her party today.
Okay now you can RUN to Julie's blog HERE to get the tutorial so you can make these super fun treat holders and you can find the recipe for the marshmallow suckers HERE so you can make some yummy treats for the ones you love!!

A tisket, a tasket, a little Love basket!

Hey, everyone!!
I love making little baskets and bags with my paper crafting supplies. It is so fun to take some paper, some punches, a little ink and some stamps and end up with a really cute, but useful item!!! I love that! So, today as I was blog hopping I saw a tutorial on how to make a basket by Becky Roberts and I thought, hmmm, let me try that! It's so tiny and cute!! Take a look:
It's just black cardstock scored and cut then glued up. I punched two red hearts and two white hearts for the front and back and used pop dots for added dimension. I stamped "Love" from Family Is Forever in Bordeaux ink and yes it is my new favorite ink! I love it! The ink and stamp set are all from The Angel Company.
This side view shows you the handle a little better. I cut it out using cloud scissors and then stamped it with the Build-A-Background Hostess Level A stamp set. Isn't that adorable? It is also in the Bordeaux Palette Hybrid Ink. I attached the handles with little white flower brads on either side. Just need to put some candy inside and it's good to go!! Super fun! What do you think?

January Scrapbook Class

Hey, everyone!

I am having a scrapbooking class tomorrow at my house at 1 p.m. The cost is $10 for the class and all materials are included in the kit. You will only need to bring your favorite adhesive. If you cannot come to the class but would like to purchase the kit, just send me an e-mail at hoosier_card_angel@yahoo.com and I will give you all the details. Here is the 2 page 12x12 layout that we are going to create:
It's a combination of Amberley Grace and Hemingway designer papers from The Angel Company. The other stamp sets that were used on this layout are You Are and Family Is Forever and Little Things. All of these items are from TAC.

The "love" sentiment on this title page is created with the Scriptybet set in Noir Palette Hybrid Ink. I used Burnt Umber Palette Hybrid Ink to sponge the edges on each photo box.
Here you can see the Stardust Clear Gelly Pen outlining the sentiment. I love the shimmery effect it has!

The second page of this two-page spread features a series of squares that showcases the beautiful designer paper in these two paper packs. The center was left open to add a photo or journaling.
I used Noir Palette Hybrid ink for three of the squares and Burnt Umber on the others with the Stardust Clear Gelly Pen to highlight the words for a shimmery watermark effect. I love how it turned out! If you have any questions, please let me know! I am looking forward to Friday's class!

Family Is Forever!

Hey, everyone!!

Shut the front door! I made a scrapbook page!! Woohoo!! I am so excited to show it to you! Here is my first 12x12 scrapbook page for this year!

I was looking through MY MOST FAVORITE scrapbook magazine OF ALL TIME (Scrapbooks, Etc.) and was inspired by an ad for the newly released Bo Bunny Persuasion paper collection. There is a scrapbook page using those papers and I immediately thought of my new My Mind's Eye Sweet Dreams Holiday Avenue glittered paper pack! Then I started putting pieces together and the layout above is what I came up with!

Of course, I cannot ever just copy something exactly the way it is...I have to change it up and this layout was no exception! I punched a tag with my Sizzix machine and using my most favorite white gel pen (Signo) I added some doodle dots and wrote Kadesia and Javan's name. I put a faux rhinestone on the top of the tag and stamped "these are the ones my heart loves" from the Family Is Forever stamp set by The Angel Company in L'Amore Red palette hybrid ink. I used the same ink and another stamp from the same set on the cardstock base.

Picking up the white elements, I added the year the photo was taken with my cardstock stickers. I also created little white doodle dots under the word FOREVER. I stamped this sentiment from the same stamp set in Jardin Moss palette ink. The green on green gave it a watermark look to it.
If you will notice in the upper right hand corner of the photo layer, I placed 5 green faux rhinestone stickers. It was fun to create a little photo corner using some bling! It felt so good to make this layout! I want to do more but I will just have to wait! My list of things to do this week is growing longer and longer! Hope you'll stop by again to see what else I am creating!

Our Family Scrapbook Page!

Hey, everyone!

My friend had a scrapbook party at her house! I taught her and her guests how to create a 12x12 scrapbook page using stamp sets from The Angel Company. We had a lot of fun and she was able to get enough orders for DOUBLE hostess benefits! Here is the scrapbook page we created:
This is June's hostess gift I made her with my Bind-It-All machine. I rounded the corners with my awesome Corner Chomper! You have to get one of these!!! I love mine!
I love using our scalloped square punches for a layering effect! Here is a look at the inside:
Thanks for hanging out with me today! Let me know if you would like to book your party this month to take advantage of your double hostess benefits. There are very few openings left this month so be sure you call today if you are considering it.

My First TAC Appearance!

Hey, everyone!

I had a really fun time at Monyca's church tonight. All the ladies were so friendly and nice! I am eager to see how well Monyca does with orders, so she can get DOUBLE free!!! That is always a fun thing!!

Since most had never scrapped before, I decided to come up with a couple pages that were similar but weren't too overwhelming for someone just learning to do papercrafting. I think everyone enjoyed themselves and I know I certainly did. It was so nice to meet so many ladies and they were so happy to get to play with my stamps and punches and tools! I even showed one lady how to use the Scor-Pal and she thought it was really great! I know I love it!!! You have to get one of these if you don't have it. This tool is so awesome and there is so many different things you can do with it!

I didn't take any photos of tonight's meeting. I was a little nervous and was so busy helping others, but it was a blast! I hope we can do that again sometime! I can't leave you without any photos, though! So I'll share the two pages I made to demonstrate this evening! Hope you enjoy these!!!

I used the TAC Scalloped Circle Punch, GWP Swirl Stamp, and Family Is Forever Stamp Set in the top photo.
I used TAC Scalloped Circle Punch, Gray Tombow Marker, Treasure Seeker Stamp Set, His Angels Stamp Set, and Family Is Forever Stamp Set in the bottom photo.
And one final happy note...a very generous lady gave us a donation for our Relay For Life!!! I am so excited about that! If you haven't reserved your spot yet, just call me today. If you can't go to the STAMP OUT CANCER and CROP FOR A CURE fundraiser May 17, then consider donating online. All gifts are tax-deductible and it will be greatly appreciated by the Hoosier Stampers. You can purchase a $10 luminary in MEMORY OF or in HONOR OF someone you love! E-mail me for more information or go here to donate today!

Thanks for checking back with me. I hope you'll pop in again soon and see what other creations this Hoosier Card Angel can come up with!! Until then, happy paper crafting!

Hugs,
Bridgett
