March Card Class Cards

Hey, everyone!!


I wanted to share some of the cards with you that we created at my card class this month. I hope they inspire you to make something fun, too!

This is the card I already shared earlier that Christina inspired me to make! One of the ladies in the class actually used the HAPPY BIRTHDAY sentiment from the Celebration Time Stamp set and created this card for her son! This is a very versatile style card, especially with these colors! The scalloped circle is from the More Mimi paper collection, which is Buy One, Get One FREE until the end of this month! So the scallop is reversible!

I just love this spinner card. I used VersaMark to stamp the ladybugs onto the red paper for a watermark effect. I stamped another one of the ladybugs from the Squiggle Ladybugs stamp set and cut it out. This is a fun card to play with. I added shimmer to the sentiment and ladybugs with my stardust glitter gel pens.

I had never used the Toodle Loo paper collection from TAC before this class. I used a sketch from the TAC catalog and from over at PaperWings to create this fun card! It features all the kewl patterns from this designer paper. There are lions, monkeys and elephants that were so fun to punch out and share with the class. The sentiment is a PWP stamp and only $2.95 for a set of 4 sentiments! Great deal!
This is a really sweet card to make for ANYONE! Not just for kids! I can see this being a fun card for baby showers, co-workers, neighbors, friends, family...really ANYONE! I love how quick it was to make and how easy! Check out the chick's wings...that is yellow Fun Flock! I love how soft the wings are!

Open up the card for a sparkly Easter greeting and a package of Skittles! These would be fun to take to school, too! I just love that cute skateboarding bunny on the package!

Another Spin...

Hey, everyone!

Today's card share is not my own! I love it when my daughter wants to make crafts with me, but so often she will ask when we are not able to do it. After she saw the spinner card I made she was so excited and wanted to make one, too. She's so funny because she went to her room and got her notebook and ink pen, told me to put the video on of Angie teaching how to make this card and then she made me pause it every little bit so she could write down the measurements and supplies needed. We took her instructions downstairs to gather our supplies. She picked all the colors out and wanted to make a basketball rolling back and forth. She is so clever! She thought I was pretty smart to know how to make a basketball from orange paper, a punch and a black marker. Shhhh! Don't tell her otherwise! LOL

Gifts!

Hey, everyone!

One of my favorite things about paper crafting is that I can make a gift in a relatively short amount of time and personalize it so it's custom made just for the person I am giving it to. My future sister-in-law, Hannah, told me how much she liked my little book of goals for this year that I made with my Bind-It-All. I decided right then to make one for her and surprise her with it! I decided to leave it plain so she could jazz it up the way she wants or she can leave it as is. The title is printed from my computer then colored with my BIC Mark It's in three different shades of purple. I chose this beautiful paper to cover the chipboard covers I made. There's a slight shimmer to the covers so it is very subtle but nice! I hope she likes it! I just used lined notebook paper for the inside. The measurements for the book covers are 5x7.

My nephew is going to be TEN on Jan. 22. I cannot believe it was 10 years ago that I was snuggling that baby boy and now he is almost as tall as me and just a handsome and sweet kid! He's saving his money for a bike so I made him a spinner card and will give him $10! I hope he thinks the spinning cupcake is kewl! I didn't want to go too cutesy but I think it's a pretty fun card. I cheated and used a sticker from my scrapbook stash instead of stamping a sentiment. The inside has a happy birthday sentiment stamped on it. This was just something fun and easy.

Spinner Card

Hello, everyone!
I made my first spinner card! It was a lot easier than I thought it would be. I do not have a word window punch so I used a small emery board and my Kai scissors (C-1220) to cut it out. It worked just fine! I hope you like it. You can watch the video on how to make this card here.
