Family Fun!

Hey, everyone!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! It was a pretty soggy 4th of July here but the weekend was full of good times and family fun! I took a few photos to share while we were at my parents' hosue for a cookout yesterday!

My sister and I had our babies just 5 months apart! Uncle Arnold (my brother) loves his nieces and nephews! He's always playing with them and Javan talks about "Ar-no" non-stop!!!
These two are the oldest grandchildren. My nephew is 3 years older than my daughter. You have to watch out when these two get together! They are always up to something!!! LOL They were probably sitting in that swing thinking up more things to do!

Here I am with Kelsey! Isn't she beautiful? She got to drive Arnold's truck! I haven't ever got to drive his truck! No fair! (I can hardly wait for our lunch date, Kelsey!) Did you have a fun time this weekend, too? I sure hope so!!! I have more to share with you tomorrow. My daughter's altered kleenex box for the Mini Miss contest and much more! See ya tomorrow!

Happy Birthday, America!

Hey, everyone!

This weekend here in the United States of America is a very special holiday weekend! I look forward to it every single year with eager anticipation! I love the cookouts, picnics, visiting friends and family, warm weather, bright sunshine, blue skies, and breathing in the fresh air! The day just gets better and better as camp fires are lit, friends and family gather around for the weenie roasts and to make s'mores and then the awesome fireworks display! But Independence Day is so MUCH more than that!
I love this country and the principles it was founded on. I am grateful to every single soldier who has and continues to give their all to protect and serve this country! Every man and woman in uniform has my utmost respect and to me each is a TRUE HERO! Thank you to the veterans, those who now serve and to the families who embrace their loved ones with tearful goodbyes hoping it's for now and not forever so that soldier can fulfill their commitment to this country to protect our land and to keep us safe and FREE! Freedom is definitely not FREE!

Jesus Christ has also laid down His life for freedom, but it's a different kind than the freedom Americans enjoy today! This freedom is for anyone in the whole world who will believe it with all of their heart.

This is a fun card to kick off the summer season and especially as the 4th of July is nearing!

Thanks for coming by today! I am eager to see the new catalog! They should be here by Monday but I am eager to see them and hoping they'll be here on Saturday! My open house is coming up very soon, just a couple weeks away! I am planning on having a fun event to show off the new catalog, teach a couple techniques and demo some of our awesome tools and accessories! More information will be coming up about that and I will be teaching a class at the Memory Lane Scrapbook store on August 6 since so many of you have asked me to teach again! I want to thank all of you that have stopped by Hoosier Card Angel's Creations to see what new projects I have been working on and the latest happenings with my family and friends. I love the comments and new friends I have made through this blog! I hope you all enjoy visiting here as much as I love sharing with you all!

Most people that know me will tell you that my absolute favorite holiday out of the entire year is INDEPENDENCE DAY! I love the 4th of July!! It's a wonderful time to celebrate with family and friends, gather for a cook-out in the back yard with burgers and hot dogs and my mom's awesome potato salad!!! It's so exciting to watch the big bursts of color lighting up the night sky as the fireworks are on display!!! BUT, the best part of all, is when we can take a few moments out of our busy agenda to remember WHY we celebrate and WHO we should thank for our FREEDOM that hasn't come cheap! Do you know a veteran? THANK THEM!! Do you know someone who is putting their life on the line right now fighting in Iraq, Afghanistan and parts unknown? THANK THEM! PRAY FOR THEM! NEVER STOP UNTIL THEY ARE SAFE AT HOME!!!!!
