It's August???

Hey, everyone!

I have been so busy lately that when my mom and my daughter were talking the other day about it being August 3 I was like WHAT? It's not August yet is it? They said YES! I couldn't believe it! I have been away on a get-away camping and came back to help take care of my brother. I haven't been home much at all and so August quietly began without me and didn't plan on waiting for me to realize that July was over! YIKES!!! School sign-ups are next week!!! How can this be?

And on a final note about time...wow! Is it not just going so fast? My mom has been helping me so much lately! We are having a huge 3 family garage sale next month, here at my house! I told my mom that I really wanted to downsize and get rid of about 80% of the stuff in each room because we really don't need so much STUFF and I'd love to have more space! She helped me get the living room, hall closet and my daughter's room done! I did my son's room and the bathroom! I am working on my bedroom and the kitchen and then the upstairs will be completed! That only leaves the basement and I am so eager to get it done, but I am running out of TIME because we still have to get everything priced and set out, tables set up, you know all the HARD WORK behind the scenes for the garage sale! I am looking forward to it so much though because it means more open space and less time trying to keep up with everything and more time having FUN! The kids love, love, love their rooms now! They have a place for everything and everything is in it's place!

StampTACular Tuesday Challenge GOT A MATCH?

Hey, everyone!

Today I am back with another StampTACular Tuesday Challenge! The challenge for today is to make a matchbook card! These are so fun to make and are so cute! They open up like a book of matches, thus the name! Christina has created a card, also and it is awesome! You won't want to miss it.

I want to tell you a little bit more about my card! The black cardstock can be purchased from your TAC Angel. The item # is V-215 for the 8½x11 or V-246 for the 12x12. The cream colored cardstock was something I had in my stash and I printed the FREE DOWNLOAD paper from TAC! Isn't it cute? I love it. These downloads are all FREE and you can print them on white cardstock, regular copy paper, colored paper or whatever! Use the whole sheet or cut it up! There are lots of options! I cut my image out with the 2½" Mega Scalloped Circle punch, item # D-700. The stamp set is from the new Serendipity magalogue which is for spring/summer 2009. It's called Dear Friend and is item # R-2039. You get six stamps for under $10! That is awesome! The holes are punched with my Crop-A-Dile. It's item # K-100.

My inspiration for today's card is from my upline's upline...Rita! Go see her matchbook card and enjoy checking her wonderful blog. Then leave me a comment and let me know if you are going to make one of these cards! The measurements are 4½x11 and you score at 4 5/8" and 10". Decorate as you desire. I'd love to see what you can come up with using The Angel Company stamps! I will have a special drawing for anyone who participates in this month's StampTACular Tuesday Challenges! It will be a lot of fun. The prize is going to be a complete surprise to all of you so you will have to wait until the end of the month to see what it is! First 5 up for a challenge!

Hey everyone!

I have seen these fun challenges popping up on various blogs. I got a request from my friend Suzann to join her challenge so I went for it! The challenge is a really fun way to share our creativity without joining a swap. Believe me last year I got swamped with swaps....say that 10 times fast! LOL So this year no swapping! (Right, Christina? LOL) So here's how this challenge works:

The first 5 people to respond to this post will get something made by me! Could be a card or a scrap page or even a mini album..my choice! This offer does have some restrictions and limitions:
1. I make no guarntees that you will like what I make although I hope you do!
2. What I create will be made with you in mind so you won't get something I already made unless I think it suits you to a T. (Note from me: uh, it will be something created just for you because I tend to give away everything I make right after I post it on my blog with only a few exceptions!)

StampTACular Tuesday!

Hey, everyone!

It's StampTACular Tuesday and I am excited to share with you my new book. It is sort of like a never-ending book but not quite. It's also like a flip book but not exactly! I thought it would make a neat mini-album and I can hardly wait to start putting some fun photos inside and decorate it!


This is the front of the mini album. I have taken my BUTTERFLY SWIRLS stamp set (T-2929) and applied VersaMark (S-1179) then Silver Embossing Powder (S-767) then heat set the powder with my heat tool (F-163). The black cardstock (V-215) measures 2"x2" and the Winterberry (V-903) piece is 2"x4" on chipboard (H-102).
This is inside once the front covers are turned back. The top flap folds back to the left and the bottom flap folds back to the right.
The left piece measures 4"x3".
This is the last page and it also measures 4"x3".
The back cover is 4"x4" piece of chipboard and it is embossed with the Butterfly Swirls stamp set, also. I hope you like this project. It was fun to try it out. I wasn't sure how to make it at first but I think it turned out pretty well. If you want to see more fun creations with this stamp set, please check out my friend CHRISTINA's blog.
