Bird Notes

Hey, everyone!

The theme for this week's challenge is masculine! I don't do a lot of masculine cards for some reason but I do enjoy making CAS cards. CAS cards, for those that may not know, are Clean And Simple cards. When I think of masculine cards, I tend to think of clean lines, not much detail and nothing froo-froo. So I chose this bird and sentiment from Bird Notes by Treehouse Stamps. I think of nature when I think of masculine themes, so I simply colored the image and here is what I came up with:
The faux rhinestones are as "over-the-top" as it gets for this card. I had to add a little shimmer! You can purchase this digital stamp set and others by clicking here and play along with the challenges here.

Paper Crafting With Kadesia

Hey, everyone!

I did a little paper crafting tonight with my daughter!

She is 6 years old...in the first grade, and she is so hysterical to watch! I love it!

Tonight my husband saw some paper I had purchased recently. It's THE GLITTER STACK! Now if you know me, you know I'm all about the BLING! LOL So, he was flipping through and he was telling me what paper he liked...some black and silver and it was very cool.

So I said, "You want me to make you something with that?"

And he was like, "I dunno. Like what?"

And so I thought for a second and then I remembered that Angela had made these jr. legal pads and left instructions on her blog. You can see the altered jr. legal pads she made here and the instructions for how to make them are here. I love hers!

So, Kadesia was like, "Oh! Can I make one, Mama?"

And of course I was like, "Well, yeah!"

LOL So, we went to my little scrap space in the basement and I cut Paul's out and scored it while she selected her own paper. And then I showed her where to cut hers on the paper trimmer and I scored it for her. Then we went back upstairs to assemble them and she performed her little video tutorial in front of her invisible camera crew and even took a call from a listener who needed clarification as to which side to apply the glue stick! LOL So I have to show you her sweet little creation.

Her paper came from the NANA'S KIDS stack...mostly because she loves her Nana and probably thought of her when she saw the paper pack! LOL

You totally should get over to Angela's blog to get the instructions on how to make these fun little note pads. These would be great gifts for teachers, family, friends. Paul will probably use his to sketch race car bodies in since he helps build race cars! Hope you like what you see!
