Diva-Licious Invitations

Hey, everyone!!

Has your summer been as busy as mine? WOW! August is HERE and school is just around the corner for my daughter! If you see my head spinning, you'll know why! LOL It's just been crazy, but in a good way! So, want to see a special little project I have been working on? Check it out:
It's an invitation for a little girl's DIVA themed birthday party! Here's a look at the inside:
I am very excited with the way that it came out! The only requirements was for it to be DIVA themed, an invitation, and in colors hot pink and black! NO PROBLEM!! I used the Uptown Girl designer paper from The Angel Company, the black cardstock is not. The pink satin ribbon was from Walmart. I used my Mega Scalloped Circle Punch from TAC for the image. The stamp is a digital image from The Greeting Farm called Pretty Head Rachel, and I used my Cricut Storybook cartridge for the black scalloped circle and the black and white layers on the lower left. The crown stamp is from a retired TAC stamp set called Circle Sampler. The faux rhinestones are from Walmart, as well. I used my Bic Mark-It's for the hair, my Copics for the skin, my Stardust (clear) gel pen for the eye shadow, necklace, accents on the barrette and crown. My pink Tombow marker (Brights) for the lipstick, barrette and necklace accents, the crown and t-shirt. I used my Black Tombow marker (Brights) for the shirt and barrette. The doodle dots were made with my white gel pen. The inside of the invitation is all computer journaling. I hope she likes these!! What do you think?

Happy Memorial Day!

Hey, everyone!

I was selected as a Guest Design Team member for Treehouse Stamps this month! It sure has gone by quickly. I was given 5 digital stamp sets, all new releases from THS, to play with and create a card for each weekly challenge. This week we are to create a card using this sketch:
I took a sheet of Kraft cardstock and cut it at 5½" x 11" and then scored it at 5½" with my Scor-Pal. The center circle is featuring a cupcake image from the Stars and Stripes stamp set. Hope you can see the shimmer on the flag, stars and sentiment. The "Happy Memorial Day" greeting is also a part of this stamp set. I wanted to come up with a patriotic card since this is Memorial Day weekend coming up!
The sentiment and main image are all raised up on pop dots for added dimension. I hope you like it!
To find out how you can participate in this week's challenge, visit HERE. You can shop at THS right HERE.

My card also works with the following challenges:
A SPOON FULL OF SUGAR (celebration card)
BY THE CUTE AND GIRLY (celebration)
CRAFTY CATZ WEEKLY CHALLENGE (stars and stripes)
MY TIME TO CRAFT CHALLENGE (vivid greeting cards)
SEW MANY CHALLENGES (anything goes)
STAMP SOMETHING CHALLENGES (two of something) two torn edged panels, two sets of bling
TOTALLY GORJUSS (bling it on)

I am making my friend, Christina, join me in these challenges! You can see her card here.

Thanks for hanging out with me and I hope you find a lot of challenges that you can participate in, too!

THT050

Hey, everyone!

I was selected to be a Guest Design Team Member over at Treehouse Stamps. Each Thursday there is a new challenge and this week's is a Color Combo Challenge. We were to create a card using Pink, Sky Blue, Cream and Brown. Here is the card I submitted:

The base is ivory cardstock. I printed the butterfly and sentiment on the same cardstock using Aloha digital images from Treehouse Stamps. I printed the butterfly again on blue patterned paper and a third time on pink patterned paper. I cut parts of the blue and parts of the pink butterfly to paper piece them onto the ivory butterfly. I then mounted the image onto brown patterned paper and attached a piece of pink and brown dp next to that. The sentiment is matted to the blue paper and popped up on dimensionals.
You know what is coming next...bling! I had some crystal flourishes that I placed around the butterfly, accenting the wing tips and the dot over the "i" in the sentiment. I used my clear stardust glitter gel pen to highlight the polka dots and dashes on the wings, to outline the sentiment and to add some shimmer to the wing outlines. Hope you enjoy my card. Be sure you go HERE to find out how you can purchase this stamp set or any others like it. You can go HERE to participate in this week's challenge! Thanks for checking out my card! Hope you like it!

Bird Notes

Hey, everyone!

The theme for this week's challenge is masculine! I don't do a lot of masculine cards for some reason but I do enjoy making CAS cards. CAS cards, for those that may not know, are Clean And Simple cards. When I think of masculine cards, I tend to think of clean lines, not much detail and nothing froo-froo. So I chose this bird and sentiment from Bird Notes by Treehouse Stamps. I think of nature when I think of masculine themes, so I simply colored the image and here is what I came up with:
The faux rhinestones are as "over-the-top" as it gets for this card. I had to add a little shimmer! You can purchase this digital stamp set and others by clicking here and play along with the challenges here.

Thanks for checking it out!

Two For One!

Hey, everyone!

I have been as busy as a bee over the weekend and starting my week. My family and I are doing some landscaping and making our yard look so much nicer. Our neighbors have been sure to tell us they like the improvements and thanked us for our hard work. The whole neighborhood benefits! I am just super excited about the changes ... that are still happening!

Today's post is a two-fer! Since I was so busy I didn't get the chance to post the new Color Combo Motivational so I will post it today and then I will post the No Stamp Craft I did, as well. Hope you will create something fun today too! Maybe you can create a project without stamping using the new Color Combo!
Okay for the new Color Combo Motivational 54, I chose White, Red, Brown, Blue and Green. You can make a card, scrapbook page, altered item, ATC... whatever you want! Just be sure to only use these 5 colors and if you participate in the Motivational use CC54 in your keywords. I would love to see what you come up with. Here is my project.
I got the image free right HERE. It's a digital image and I love, love, love playing with them! The sentiment is from a stamp set from The Angel Company called Build-A-Flower. The red designer paper is now retired from TAC. The girl is up on pop dots but you can't really tell from the photo and her lollipop is shimmery from my Stardust Glittering Gel Pens.

For the No Stamp Crafting project today I made a little purse! It's made from paper and I thought it would be sweet to give to my daughter's teacher during Teacher Appreciation Week. I will have a lot more things to show you that week but for now you can see the tote.
Hope you will have fun without your stamps for a fun little project, too! Happy paper crafting! See you tomorrow!!

CC51

Hey, everyone!

I wanted to give you the new colors for the Color Combo Motivational. I selected Prussian Blue, Charcoal, Sunflower and White. I hope you will play along. Leave me a link to your card!
The stamps I used here are Circle Sampler and Build-A-Flower by The Angel Company. The border punch is from Martha Stewart. Since Christina and Donna were the only two to take my Color Combo Motivational offer...I am awarding them both a prize! Thank you ladies for playing.

St. Patrick's Day is next week! I am so excited. It's one of my most favorite holidays. My kids and I will be making cookies with green frosting again this year. Love that cookie making tradition. I think I will be going HERE for more fun ideas to celebrate! I am also having a FunShop for June L. on Wednesday so I am definitely looking forward to that!

I got three new FREE digital stamps. They are super cute. Click HERE to pick them up for yourself and don't forget to take a peek to see what other stamps they have! Super fun!

I still have a few stamps for sale. Be sure to check it out HERE to see what is left. They are going fast! I will have more up in a couple weeks!

Oh So Adorable Dorothy!

Hey, everyone!

I received some Dorothy images from a great friend, CHRISTINA, and so me and my daughter had fun coloring today! It's a late-in-the-day post but there's been tons going on today! Hope you like the cards we made. I just did a freehand background...doodling but sometimes that is when it's the most fun! I even shared my copic markers with my daughter (gasp!) with very strict instructions and a watchful eye! She did great! She even added a red bow to Dorothy's hair like she has in the movie!

Hope you liked hanging out with me and Kadesia for a little while today! I'll be back again this week with different projects and you won't want to miss the StampTACular Tuesday Challenge! It's going to be a lot of fun! Don't forget you can start earning punches on your Valued Customer Rewards Card now! Let me know if you want to place an order. The month is half over and our Spring Into May Rewards will not be available at the same discounted price after May 31, 2009. You also can get 25% off the retired stamps! Thank you for those of you who have placed an order with me this month! I truly appreciate it!!! I love being your Angel!

Hugs,
