We have had a lot of big changes here in the Owens' household this week! Wow! I accepted a new position at a hospital where I used to work and had my G.O. which was a long day but a good one. This new job is a true blessing for our whole family and even though I am sad to leave behind dear friends I am looking forward to this new opportunity! I got my haircut...and I love it! Paul says it has to grow on him but everyone else has given me a lot of sweet compliments! Miss Kadesia took my picture:
Javan turned 3 and can I just say it is unreal how fast the time goes? WOW! He is such a big boy now. He wears big boy underwear and he stays dry through the night. We have occasional accidents but it happens and we just move on! He can reach the faucet now to wash his sweet big boy hands ... but he does have to be on tip toe. He is just a beautiful blessing that I am so thankful God trusted us with!
Speaking of growing up... Kadesia is just growing up too fast for me! She is still so small and precious to me but I try so hard to give her the space she needs to be the beautiful young lady she is fast becoming. She has such a heart for God and she wants to do the right thing. If left up to her she will rid this entire world of any injustice! She is an exceptional little girl and I delight in watching her as she discovers more and more about herself. God definitely has a purpose and a plan for her! I am so glad I am along for the journey!!
My brother asked me to help him put together a comic book that he found online. I cut it out, matted it to cardstock and then put it in page protectors. He purchased a 3 ring binder for a steal during the Back 2 School specials and has the comics there. It took quite a bit of time...and adhesive but I didn't think much about it. He took Paul with him to Walmart and bought me something to say thank you. Check it out:
Isn't he amazing? I just love my little bro! He bought me the Cricut I have and love and he saw me oohing and aahing over this cartridge and decided to give it to me since I had helped him out! How sweet is that? Someone very special will snatch him up one day! LOL
Well thanks for hanging out with me! More fun stuff to come so be sure to visit again soon!

His dad helped me with the invitations. We embossed the Running Stitches stamp set from The Angel Company on Kraft cardstock with black embossing powder. The "You're Invited" is computer generated. Lightning McQueen and Tow Mater are embossed as well and Paul colored them with my Copics, Tombows and Bic Mark-Its. Here's another look at the invitation:
I sponged the Kraft cardstock with Burnt Umber Palette Hybrid ink. I used my Cricut Cartridge CARS for the "Pit Stop" inside:
I sponged the inside as well. The font is all computer generated, too.
