My baby is 3!

Hey, everyone!

I want to wish my sweet baby boy a very happy 3rd birthday! Here he is with his invitation:
His dad helped me with the invitations. We embossed the Running Stitches stamp set from The Angel Company on Kraft cardstock with black embossing powder. The "You're Invited" is computer generated. Lightning McQueen and Tow Mater are embossed as well and Paul colored them with my Copics, Tombows and Bic Mark-Its. Here's another look at the invitation:
I sponged the Kraft cardstock with Burnt Umber Palette Hybrid ink. I used my Cricut Cartridge CARS for the "Pit Stop" inside:
I sponged the inside as well. The font is all computer generated, too.
These are the treat bags. Javan and I made pencil pouches. See the screw brad? I love it! That's from TAC, as well. I used the Tag Tidbits and Sweet Goodies stamp sets for the tootsie roll package. There's 3 tootsie rolls because they are Javan's favorite candy and he is 3 years old today! The three theme is continued with the three pencils and a third party favor: a wrapped granola bar in Javan's favorite flavor peanut butter. Javan and I embossed the Nestabilities Label to create a fun look for his bag topper and granola wrapper. The embossing came from a Cuttlebug folder Diamond Plate. I hope he has the best birthday ever!!

Check back tomorrow when I share some more birthday photos and pictures of Kadesia! She started her first day of 3rd grade today... talk about bittersweet... my babies are getting so big!

Angel Blog Hop

Hey, everyone!

Melisa over at PaperWings has come up with a wonderful new Blog Hop this month and I am very excited about it. Instead of using a particular stamp set, we are stamping in our scrapbooks! I haven't been able to get any scrapping done in a long time. I am looking forward to when I can scrap a lot more! Let me show you my scrapbook page:
I printed my title "HERE'S THE SCOOP" from the computer but you could use any alphabet stamp set for the same effect. I used the RUNNING STITCHES stamp set for the faux stitching on the title. I had a frame in my scrapbook stash along with some stars that I hadn't done anything with. I decided to stamp "ICE CREAM" around the frame with the ICE CREAM stamp set and the sentiment "JUST BECAUSE" is from the TAG TIDBITS stamp set. The red and white box is actually just a sticker frame. I stamped an ice cream cone from the ICE CREAM stamp set and colored it in with my Stardust Glitter Gel Pens. The three flourishes are a retired GWP stamp. The "HOT, HOT, HOT" sentiment is a sticker strip that I layered onto some patterned paper that matches my baby's outfit! The circles are from CIRCLE SAMPLER stamp set. These pictures are from 2003 and taken of my daughter, Kadesia, but I cannot believe how much my son, Javan looks like his sister now that he is about the same age as she was here.

There are so many wonderful blogs for you to hop to and check out all their scrapbooks pages with lots of great stamps. Check them out and then go make your own scrapbook page with stamps. Leave me a link to your projects in the comment section. Let me know if you like this project! I will see you tomorrow for another StampTACular Tuesday Challenge!
