Thrift Store Haul

Hey, everyone!

School is officially out here in my local school district. My children have grown up so much and it's been a really tough year for all of us with losing my dad. I am so very proud of my little guy graduating Kindergarten! He just brightens up my life!
He was given some money for graduation from his mamaw and papaw. He chose a Lego set from the Lego Movie. He will do a YouTube Lego review video later on. He loves to be in front of the camera. I wonder why? It must be all the videos and photographs I have taken of him since he was born! You know, when I was growing up we had those Kodak instant cameras or the 110 film and 35 mm film. You had to take the pictures and then drop them off at the store, wait a week or so and then pick them up. You never knew if any of the pictures were going to turn out or not! It's so different now with digital cameras!

My mom (Javan's Nana) took us to eat at McDonald's (Javan's favorite) and then on to Walmart to buy Javan's toy and pick up Mother's medication. Then the real fun began...we went thrifting! We have a store here called St. Vincent de Paul and it's wonderful! The prices are pretty good for the most part and they are always putting new things out so it makes it a fun place to shop. Javan wanted a bag of toys for $3 and here is what was inside:
I have my make-up brushes in a small glass container but it isn't really working out that well for me. So when I saw this pretty milk glass dish for only $1 I knew I had to have it! Today I went back with my mom to see if they had anything new and they had this really nice milk glass dish that I am going to add my make up, too. I really don't wear a lot of make-up so it would easily fit into this dish.

I thought it would be fun to create another YouTube video with Javan. He is so sweet! Hope you will check it out:

I hope you enjoyed the video! It was a lot of fun to make. The house is quiet as I sit here and write this blog post. I miss my kiddos but I know they are having a lot of fun with their grandparents on their way to fun in the sun! I am so proud of my two beautiful blessings from God. Kadesia is going to be a seventh grader this fall and Javan will be a first grader. Time just continues to pass me by and I just hope and pray that I am doing everything I can do to give my two children the tools and skills they need to succeed in life. They both love the LORD with all of their heart so I can't ask for much more than that!

My baby just graduated!

Hey, everyone!

Today my baby girl graduated from Kindergarten. She told me this morning, as I was taking her to school, that she didn't want to graduate and that she was sad. I told her that she had to graduate so she could go to the first grade, where she will get a new teacher and make lots more friends! I didn't tell her that I didn't want to watch her growing up so fast and heading for many more adventures that may be a little scary, a little sad and always brand new! But I have always tried to teach her that she is strong, she is smart and she is beautiful. I tried to instill in her self-confidence and to not set limits on herself, so far she hasn't and I hope she never will!! I am so proud of her and she got a perfect report card! I am so thankful that she has been so blessed with a very positive start to her school career!

Here are a few of the photos I took today! Enjoy!!!

This one is Kadesia and her baby brother, Javan. This picture turned out so well!! Better than I thought when I snapped it as he tried to squirm off her lap!

This is Miss Kadesia, posing as usual, showing off her new manicure! LOL

My beautiful girl leaving the house for the very last time as a Kindergartner!

Here's a picture of Nana (my mom) with Javan as we started to go inside for the graduation.

Kadesia was assigned TWO parts (I only knew about one of them before today) and so that is why she is wearing the letter "I" around her neck!

It's official! She is a graduate!! (Check out the tassel!) Now on to first grade!!!!

Poor little Javan had to take a nap just as his big sister was getting her diploma! Here's Kadesia with Nana, Mamaw Leann (Paul's mom), Javan and (part of) (great-) Grandma Junie! We're all so very proud of her!
Here's the future Mr. and Mrs. Jansen Ray! LOL These two LOVE each other! It's hysterical! Isn't he a doll?

Look at the lovely music box Mamaw Leann and Papaw Roy gave to the sweet graduate! It plays YOU LIGHT UP MY LIFE! Click on the picture for a bigger view!
What a sweet girl! GO KADESIA!!! I know Daddy will be so proud to see these pictures!
I wanted to get a picture of her by the sign that says the school name and year! We have to scrap this you know? LOL!!!!
Kadesia was blessed with some very sweet teachers! Mrs. Henderson, Mrs. Duncan and Mrs. Maxwell made learning so much fun for Kadesia! I know she was very happy to have all of them for her teacher!!!!
Here's the girls before heading to the Chandler House for a tea party! Kadesia loves tea parties and her Mamaw Leann and Great-Grandma Junie wanted to take her somewhere special to celebrate!!
Thanks for coming, Nana! It's so wonderful to have you celebrate with us!!!
Thanks for sharing this milestone with us!! It's a bittersweet moment! She just learned to ride her bike without training wheels and now she has graduated from Kindergarten! My baby girl is growing up sooooo fast! And Javan's right behind!!!!

Fun Mail!

Hey, everyone!

I just wanted to say that I had a really fun mail day today! I got some wonderful cards through the New Angel program. I loved them all. What a wonderful treat!! Thank you, Rita! I also got a package from my Divine Secret Sister!! She sent me some awesome stuff, take a look!
Do you not just love this angel stamp? I can hardly wait to start using it and I guarantee I will use it OFTEN!!! And this ribbon is gorgeous! I love blue and this is the prettiest blue ribbon I have ever seen!

I LOVE these!! How fun!! These will be so nice to jazz up my cards and scrapbook pages.
Fall is my favorite season and look at these beautiful fall leaves. The colors are so vibrant...just like when the leaves turn here in Indiana!
There is nothing about this card I don't like! The embossing is sooo nice (LOVE IT!!) and it's blue! What more could I ask for?

My daughter...my baby girl...is graudating from Kindergarten tomorrow morning and I am so sad!! She is getting so big and is so grown up!!! I'm very proud of her and I love her very much! She is and always has been my Angel Baby!

She has been into the fake nails thing for a while....but only recently have I given in. Since she made honor roll, her dad and I took her to Claire's in the mall and she picked out these cute fake nails with cherries on them....some even have the bling on them! They came with the nail glue so I told her I would put them on her....soon! LOL It's been a while...God love her heart for waiting! But after her bath tonight, since she is graduating tomorrow, I told her I would put them on her...then she wanted me to wear some! I never wear them because I am one of the fortunate people whose nails grow long and pretty and I can just paint them. I am thankful (not bragging)! So, just for my sweet girl, I put the nails on! See what we look like below! Here's my Princess Kadesia:
Here's my hands (she took the photo and did pretty good with those big 'ole fake nails on! LOL
And I took this picture of us holding hands!
I promise to post a couple new cards soon!! It's been busy as a bee (as Kadesia would say) around here lately!

Bridgett
