Friends Forever!

Hey, everyone!

Thanks for stopping by today! I have a few things to share with you that aren't totally paper-crafting related! First of all, let me just say that I am normally the person everyone goes to when they need advice. I get phone calls at all hours, e-mails from various people, and even complete strangers pour out their hearts to me. I love it!!! Sometimes I'm just a sounding board...someone they can talk to and get things off their chest! Other times I'm there to encourage them to help them stay the course they have charted for themselves even when things are tough! Many times I listen and upon request I give my advice to individuals of all ages and from all walks of life. I love to hear them say, "Thanks. You helped me out!" But who do I turn to when I am in need of advice, a shoulder to cry on, or a word of encouragement?

A few days ago, I was definitely needing a friend. I tried to talk to my brother and he sort of helped but it wasn't enough! I talked to my husband when my brother and I got there, but that didn't really do it, either! I soon realized I NEED A GIRLFRIEND TO TALK TO! I thought of who I could call that would be helpful but the situation was a delicate one and I didn't want everybody to know what had happened, so I called my best friend, Heather. Just hearing her laughter helped right away! She and I have been through soooo much together. She's a mother of three (with one on the way!!!) and I know it wasn't the best time to call her but she didn't turn me away. She talked to me and listened to me and related her story and gave me advice and IT HELPED!!! I was like YEAH! Finally someone to see the emotional part and not that everything is just black or white! You know? I was feeling better but later called my brother's fiance and after she shared her story with me I was feeling just fine. There's something to be said for knowing that you are not alone. It was a comfort to know that I wasn't going through this by myself!!! And it really, really helped!!!!

THANKS FRIENDS!!!!!!!!!

And while we are on the subject of friends....my daughter has a pen pal, who just happens to be my dear friend, Debbi Doodles!!! She sends Kadesia letters, cards and packages in the mail and Kadesia loves it!!! Debbi really has spoiled her and this last time was no exception! She had the best surprises for her and here are the pictures to prove it:

Kadesia didn't want any help getting her box open!

A special note for Kadesia from her pen pal Debbi Doodles!

She loves this movie!

She was so happy!

Her dad wanted to watch this with her right away!

A cute Care Bear... Love-A-Lot!

She sure loves it A-Lot!
This is the awesome Tower Box Deb made her! (I love it, Doodles!! Thanks for the instructions!)

These pony tail holders are so cute, say the word SWEET on them and won't yank out her hair when she wears them!!
Extra! Extra! Read all about it! How fun!!! Now we can learn about the state Debbi lives in!
This is Kadesia's attempt to sign "Thank You" to her pen pal!!
You outdid yourself Debbi! Thank you sooo much! Check back soon! I have a couple of surprises coming up!
Hugs,
Bridgett

Hey Bridgett!
Your daughter is SO cute! Gosh! I remember when mine were that size...which seems like yesterday.
Love the tower box she got from Debbie...you may have to share the instructions with the rest of us!
Glad you found a friend to talk with. Sometimes just sharing something...no matter how many times...helps us deal with things too!
Take Care!

About friends... I know exactly how that feels. I've been there, just that my best friend is also my partner and there are times that he wont be that understanding at all.

I'm glad you found a real friend.

And about your daughter's pen pal... That's the best thing to have! I had one and it helped me greatly while growing up.

Wow! Your daughter is a lucky little girl! :) So sweet! Glad to hear you found someone to talk to! We all need a shoulder once in a while and ya, men don't always "get" the emotional struggles we women go through! Hope you feel better. Your SBS18 sis,
Deena

I really like the tower box as well and would think it would be great for boys and girls for gift giving.
