Today my baby girl started first grade! She will be gone all day! I miss her so much. I cannot believe she is big enough to start first grade already! Yikes! And it doesn't seem like my son should be turning 1 next Sunday...Oh! Don't forget to sign up for the Blog Candy! I will show you the Birthday in a Box very soon! You can read more about it here!!!
Tomorrow my cousin and I are going to work on a fun project I will be teaching on Friday for the residents at a local long-term care facility. I am looking forward to meeting everyone and making a wonderful keepsake for them! I will share photos and instructions for that on Thursday. Be sure to check back so you can see what we came up with!
Well, I am very excited to announce that I will be teaching another class at Memory Lane Scrapbooking store. This month I will be teaching a paper crafting class with no cards...not the kind you are thinking of anyway! We are making a fun treat pouch using double sided paper, embellished with a paper rose that we are making ourselves! Too fun! And then we will make a cute recipe box to hold all of our unique recipe cards we will be creating! This is going to be a fun class. Look for my samples in their store. After the class (August 28), I will post photos and tutorials.
And watch this week for the Shaving Cream tutorial and a special tutorial on the cute paper tote bag! These are so fun and so easy to do! You will be amazed at how simple it is to make fabulous gifts without spending much time or money!

Enjoy 1st grade with your daughter- it will be so wonderful for her that you mustn't mind.
And, who ever decided that August is a good time to start school? As the Red Queen says "off with their heads"!!! I don't think I could work in a school that started before Labor Day- it's just not natural! :)
