Hoosier Card Angel Creations

Hey, everyone!

I thought I would show you just a few of my recent creations. I have trouble sleeping so I stay up all night working on crafts! LOL And this morning is no exception. I am finally starting to feel tired, so I may lay down for a little bit after I share my cards with you!

First of all, I love this stamp set from The Angel Company™. It's called Count Your Blessings. I love the fall of the year and I thought this would be a fun set to get. The little pilgrim girl here got a little modern with her clothing! LOL I paper pieced her dress and hat from a piece of blue DP I purchased recently. The leaves were colored with my favorite stardust glitter gel pens that I absolutely love! I did a little bit of masking at her feet so it gives the illusion that she is walking through the leaves. This is the second time I have ever done masking so I didn't want to mess it up...but I think it turned out pretty cute! The Happy Thanksgiving sentiment is from the same stamp set and the leaves are just from the ones the girl is playing with. The hair, shoes, dress sash and top of the bonnet are colored with my Tombow markers. I used a watercolor pencil in a peachy color to give her hands and face a little bit of color. The buckles on her shoes are colored with a silver glitter gel pen I bought at the Dollar Tree. I used my white gel pen for doodle dots on the corners. Inside is a really nice sentiment from a stamp I bought at Hobby Lobby when they had their 50% off sale on rubber stamps. I plan on giving this to my brother along with the other cards I have made for him to give to his fiance.

The next thing I want to share with you is my attempt at making a love-themed ATC. I am very new to the world of Artist Trading Cards as far as trying to make them. I know about them from when I wrote to my pen pals several years ago. I have had pen pals since grade school and the best pen pal ever, that I absolutely love to pieces, has been my pen pal since I was in the 10th grade! She lives in Italy, though, and I am here in America so we have never met but I would love to meet her someday! I got paired up with a girl in my SBS18 sisterhood to swap friendship ATC's and sadly I have not been able to make one to save my life! I get as far as the base card measurements of 2.5" x 3.5" and that's it! So I came up with this idea...using my fun little triple heart stamp that I don't even remember where I purchased it from but most likely Michael's $1 bin! The rhinestone brad is from Hobby Lobby. I punched the image using my new scalloped square punch that I traded another Angel some catalogs for! I added a few white doodle dots with my gel pen. It's simple and kind of cute... It does seem rather plain to me...but I think I will leave it as it is.

The ATC I made for the swap with Jaime is this one. (Jaime don't look! LOL) The background has pink ladybugs on a green background with white flowers. It's really cute paper with glitter on it! I added some rhinestone brads for fun along with a green brad at the bottom for her to see it's something to pull. When you open up this adorable waterfall card you can see the stamped phrase FRIENDS FOREVER which is a retired stamp set. I did punch a semi-circle out so the pull tab was easier to get access to. I used my pink Tombow marker and blending pen to color in this flower. The flower is a stamp set with Tinkerbell in it that I picked up at Big Lots for cheap one day! Then I covered it with pink stickles! I love stickles!!! I think this one turned out a lot better than the LOVE one and I made this one first....oh well! I hope Jaime likes it. I am mailing it off this weekend along with a few other things that I will not tell on here in case she sees this before I get the chance to mail it all to her!

Thanks for looking at my projects with me. It's been fun blogging about it and I hope you will share a link with me to see all of your ATC creations! Take care and have a great day!

Hugs,
