I hope you enjoyed your Labor Day weekend and hope you were able to rest, relax, be with those you love and got the opportunity to do a little paper crafting!
My husband took me and our 1 year old son to Michael's and Hobby Lobby. I picked up some paper and even a few rubber stamps, plus a few other little things! Then we ate at Cheeseburger in Paradise. It was really good and we got to sit outside and eat. It was really nice...Javan did throw his toy car at this one man...twice! Yikes! LOL
Sunday was another FUN day for me because my mom told me to come over around 2 p.m. for cheesecake! Every year, for my birthday, my mom makes me a cheesecake! Mmmm! I don't think I will ever get tired of that tradition!!! LOL This year we tried a new recipe that my friend, Christina, posted on her blog: Sopapilla Cheesecake! Mom made it and it was SCRUMPTIOUS! The best part is that we are pulling into the driveway of my parents' house and I see some vehicles and Mom had already informed me it was not a PARTY, just cheesecake! (Hurt my feelings...sniff, sniff!) So I thought the vehicles belonged to my dad's friends and maybe they were just playing music in the studio as usual! Well, NO! It was a surprise party for my 30th birthday which isn't until TODAY! LOL I had so much fun that day!!! My husband took me on a really long 4 wheeler ride and then we spent the evening with his parents and our daughter at the campgrounds, riding around in the golf cart saying hi to friends and seeing what was new with them! We had a really great time!
Monday night my husband cooked me steak on the grill (so good!!!) and fresh from the garden tomatoes with cottage cheese and maple brown sugar baked beans! He's such a sweetheart!!!
So, in honor of my birthday...and to spice things up on our blogs...Christina and I have come up with a STAMPTACULAR challenge! Each Tuesday will be StampTACular Tuesday and you are welcome to participate in the challenges! Sometimes we'll give something away, and other times it will just be to spark some creativity among us! Whether you are an Angel with The Angel Company or not, a new stamper or seasoned one, paper crafter, in America or somewhere else, please play along and be sure to leave a link in the comments section! I will be sure to check out your creations!
I haven't finished my challenge yet, but I do want to go ahead and post it. Use this image for your inspiration. You can use the colors, the layout/design, the shape, whatever that inspires you when you see this! I'd love to see it!
And I will give away a cute little coaster post-it note holder. Just for playing along!
Don't forget to check out what Christina made! If she hasn't put it up yet, please check back because she will soon!Hugs,
