HOPE CARD

Hello, everyone!

I have been as busy as a bee today. I got a call yesterday from my upline telling me about an opportunity to be a vendor at a fundraiser for the Relay For Life. She knew I was active this year with my local American Cancer Society Relay For Life event so she called to see if I would be interested! It is very exciting. I spoke with Sherri, one of the ladies heading up this annual event and I am very happy they want me to come! I will be driving almost 2 hours to get there but it will be a lot of fun and all for a good cause, so why not?

I will try to post photos this week of all the fun stuff I made to take with me, but if I don't get a chance, I will definitely post them when I get back! This week is jam-packed for me. I have a class scheduled at my LSS, plus my new 3 for 3 Hostess Club is filled and nearly ready to go, and we have a birthday party to attend one evening and then I will be getting ready to head north for the Stamping and Scrapping Benefit Crop!

Here is one of the cards I will be taking with me. I hope you like it.
I found the inspiration for it here.

I used The Angel Company's Gentle Beginnings paper, The Angel Company's scalloped circle punch, a retired TAC stamp set and a miscellaneous stamp from Hobby Lobby. The ribbon is accented with my stardust glitter gels pens and the scallops have the stardust glitter gel pen dots, as well. I added some pearls I bought at Michael's or Hobby Lobby. The card measures 4"x11", scored at 5.5."

My friend Christina made a card, too, using this sketch. You should check out her blog to see all her awesome work!

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness month. Be sure you get your mammogram if you are old enough to get them now and don't avoid it because it is too much money. I totally understand how it can be choosing between groceries and bills some months, and more often for some people than others, but please get checked out by a physician or nurse practicioner. It could save your life!!!

Hugs,
