My heart is very happy today and I want to share that with you all. You have all been so supportive and kind through my sadness so I wanted to share my joy with you as well. My husband and I had planned on taking our children to the Creation Museum and I asked my sister if she would like to take her children, too, since I know she had said she'd like to go sometime. We all went and had a wonderful time! It was over 100 miles away but it was worth every bit of effort, time and money it took to get there. What a beautiful place and so many wonderful things to see and do! We're already planning on going back around Christmas-time! Let me show you some of the things we saw and did on our trip!!!
This photo above is special for me because the photo before it asked the hard questions...including WHY DO WE HAVE TO DIE? Of course with the recent passing of my uncle it really got my attention. Of course I know the answer to that but I was just so filled with peace and warmth when I saw this particular photo. It says GOD'S WORD OFFERS HOPE! Then it gives Romans 15:4 and that just blesses me so much! God is so awesome to allow me to see that because trust me there were many things I missed on this first trip...but I saw this and it really did my heart good!
This really says it all for me. I love the Word of God. It is my GO TO source for all the things I am going through and facing in my life. When I have a reason to be happy I get more joy in the scriptures. No matter if I am scared, upset, lonely, angry, hurt, happy or confused I know that I can find all the answers to my questions in this one amazing book!!!!
I don't know about you but when I hear the story of Noah and the Ark...it just truly blows my mind. The concept of all that water filling the earth, destroying so many things...wow! It just is something my mind cannot comprehend and then to see the Ark here and the scale of how massive the Ark is compared to the people and animals.... There is no question that God had a plan for Noah and his family and if they can be faithful to God in the midst of those circumstances then how could I not be faithful to the LORD when I am not going through anything nearly as catastrophic?
Here we have Adam and Eve. Isn't this a lovely photo? This is such a beautiful scene that I feel truly mirrors the love God wants us to have for our spouse. It's a special closeness that you can only experience when God is writing the love story!
Ever since I was a child, I had heard about how Adam and Eve walked with God in the cool of the day. What a vision I had of being able to just stroll around in paradise with GOD!!! Is that not amazing? That would be the moment I would long for all day!!! Just to be with God, listening to Him, talking to Him, learning from Him....what an awesome opportunity! I can only imagine after they were thrown out of the Garden that Adam and Eve had to have missed those special times they shared alone with God....no one else can ever say they experienced that connection but thankfully we'll get the chance to when we make it Home!
I just about laughed out loud when I saw this cute little monkey sitting there as if he is thinking up some way to get into mischief...or maybe he is eyeing a banana! LOL
Thanks for hanging out with me today. I will be sure to post some fun stuff Monday and don't forget the StampTACular Tuesday Challenge is coming up and my scrapbook page on GRACE for this week's Scripture Challenge which I will be sharing on Wednesday. See ya then!!! Oh and don't forget that for those of you who e-mailed me and wanted to place an order, call or e-mail me today so we can get it in before the end of the month. I still have my contest going on until the end of the month...don't forget! See the message above this post for all the details and let me know if you have any questions.

Bridgett- it looks like you had a WONDERFUL day! All the pictures are good but I really especially enjoyed the ones of you and your family.
Bridgett I have never seen a museum like this before. Thank you so much for sharing! I'm so sorry to hear about your uncle and I'm so glad that you have found peace. Have a great week chick.
Bridgett, I didn't know places like this existed - what a great way to start a new week! Glad you found some peace and comfort - have a great new week!
Bridgett, we are lifetime members to the Creation Museum, having donated several times while it was still in conception and construction. We got to hear Ken Ham speak in San Diego while it was in its baby stages. We get t here at least once a year, usually twice. I'm really glad you got to go and see it!
