Hey, everyone!
It has been a super busy MONTH! My goodness! I cannot believe the date on my calendar is right!!! Is it really just a few short days away from the 4th of July? I absolutely love Independence Day but it sure feels like it got here a lot quicker this year!!!
As most of you know, especially those who read my blog often, I have been super busy all summer with Kadesia in gymnastics and then signing up for Mini Miss at the 4H fair, and a HUGE garage sale coming up, it seems like there are not enough hours in the day! WOW! But I am thankful for the quiet times when I can sit and rest in God. It's a wonderful time to reflect on how things are between my LORD and me. I always ask Him to do things for me and those I care about, but I was just wondering the other day what I could do for HIM?
Today I want to share with you all a work in progress. As a part of the Mini Miss, each contestant has to decorate a tissue box and it will be used to collect money during the costume competition this year. It's a people's choice award and they vote by placing money in each tissue box. The girl who raises the most money wins! So of course I wanted to take our box home so we could really have fun with it!

I first made two templates with the shimmery green paper. I adhered them to the box that I had gently torn apart and reassembled. I added some pretty glitter designer paper to the top and that is as much as I can do for now. Kadesia wants to help me with decorating it and since it's for HER, I think that would be a terrific idea! LOL Using my Sizzix machine I punched out the letters of her name and her contestant number from some very glittery paper! It will be a lot of fun to put this box together. I will post more photos when we are done!

I wasn't sure if I had posted photos of my kitchen after Paul painted it and put the border up. I thought I had but I am way too tired to check back through the archives. Today my mother came over and she and I went through every drawer, every cabinet, and every shelf! Mom pulled the stove out and moved the fridge to clean behind it and I got rid of a TON of stuff! It feels so great to have LESS stuff and MORE space! It's awesome!!! Mom even stayed at my house cleaning MORE while I took Kadesia to her Mini Miss practice and meeting tonight. I came home to a beautiful sparkling clean kitchen with everything neat and organized and into it's own space and all the things we don't truly want, need or love all put in a box for the garage sale! Just look at my kitchen table! The curtain matches the placemats on the table which are actually a golden color instead of nearly white or tan like in the photo!

Okay that is all I have to share with you today. I will be back tomorrow with my weekly Scripture Challenge! I love these challenges!!! It has become so much more to me than just a word to look up and read about in the Bible. I have been changed since the first week I was doing these challenges and I can see God's Hand at work in my life all the time! He's constantly changing me and helping me become the woman He created me to be! Thanks for hanging out with me today! I have the new catalogs and I know you all are wanting one so let me know if you haven't reserved your copy yet. I will be mailing out (and giving out) the catalogs for those who already let me know they want theirs! You'll love it!!!
