Owens Christmas 2009

Hey, everyone!

I hope you all had a wonderful day. My family and I are very blessed to have Christmas celebrations 5 times!! Each family gathering is unique and special and even though it gets crazy running around, baking and cooking, the fun times and precious memories are worth every bit of it all! I wanted to share some Christmas photos with you all!

We found these poinsettia bags at the Dollar Tree! I used them to put my cookies in for our cookie exchange!

The red star cookies are Jello cookies and they were so yum! Just like I remembered them! The other cookies are Holiday Cream Cheese cookies and they were really good, too. I'd love to have a new oven. I have never owned one and the one that came with this old house is just not up to par when it really counts. It did okay with these cookies but a new oven would make them even better!!

I had quite the load of cookies to take home with me! LOL They were all so delicious! I couldn't pick a favorite if I wanted to because they were just so scrumpdiddlyocious! Yeah I say that!! LOL And of course it wouldn't be a family tradition without Paul's grandma's Banana Nut Cake!

Of course I had to break out this wonderful stamp set from The Angel Company! It's so fun! I stamped the deer and sentiment in burnt umber palette hybrid ink. I gave this to my husband's cousins' kids and Winnie was so excited to have reindeer food! I told her what to do and she was so happy to go home and sprinkle it on the ground. We left some, too!

Javan absolutely LOVES Monster Trucks! We all do but Javan will spend the longest time just sitting and playing with them! He has gotten quite the collection for Christmas! Check it out:
See? The line up is longer than him!!! LOL Paul's mom is taking us all to go see the Monster Truck show in Evansville in January. That is very kewl!!! My favorite is and always will be Bulldozer...even though he rarely does shows anymore! He's on the same team as Max D though and Javan is a HUGE fan of his. His favorite monster truck hands down is Grave Digger, though!
Little Miss Kadesia got a present from MRS. CLAUS! You read that right, MRS. Claus! She gave this to me in PERSON and I can tell you that it is the FIRST gift she wanted to open and just look at this reaction! Her voice was barely above a whisper as she said AN ICE SHAVER?!! She was so tickled to get this that she was SHAKING! She loves it!!! Now she'll be rushing the seasons for weather warm enough to warrant making her favorite icy drinks! THANK YOU MRS. CLAUS! YOU DID REAL GOOD!So we are full, we are happy, we are blessed beyond measure and I hope you all are, too! I am so thankful for all of you who take the time to check my blog. I love the comments you leave me! I love the wonderful emails and facebook messages I get when you share how I've inspired you somehow. It's truly a blessing and I am eager to get 2010 started with new classes, new projects, new fun and A NEW SPRING CATALOG February 1!! Woohoo!! My daughter's birthday is tomorrow so it's a fun-filled day for her! I will post a recap of the day as soon as I can! Plus a really fun post is coming up Thursday! Stop in and see!

Hugs,
