Date Night!!

Hey, everyone!

My husband decided for our "date night" last Friday night that we would go here. We had fun but I got hit 3 times (all at once) by someone ... of course I was the only girl on the track, and sorry ladies I did not make us look good! LOL But I did it and I would go back again...to take pictures and watch only! It's definitely not my thing but I didn't mind trying something new. I'd much rather cheer Paul on from the sidelines! My FAVORITE part of date night was when my husband sat down and played with my Cricut while I sorted through a huge basket of scraps! Check it out:
Here is Paul trimming up the carstock to fit on the Cricut mat.
Feeding the paper through.
Yay! You did it! What a great school bus for my school layouts of Kadesia (that I have yet to make!).
Aren't these terrific? I was going to use them for my scrapbooking pages but Javan came along and tore all the wheels off. Yes! That is what he does with anything with wheels on it!!!
Ah! My scrap pile. Isn't it much neater now? I organized by solid colors and by patterened paper. I got rid of a LOT of tiny scraps but it was hard. I don't like tossing anything like that because what about those little sentiments that just need a small mat? I know...LET IT GO! LOL So I did!! Only two more baskets full now to sort through! Any suggestions on storing these scraps so I will use them up? Thank you for stopping by.

Angel Hugs,

Sounds like a great date to me - I love go-kart racing! And how funny that he knows how to use your Cricut! COOL!

I have a great system for my scrap paper. I bought a plastic file size box at Walmart. Added some hanging files which I labeled with the basic colors. Now all my scraps are sorted and easy to find if I want a certain shade. I put the patterned paper in the file of its dominate color.
