I love ribbon! It is so much fun for me to choose ribbon for cards I am making. Depending on the card, I may choose grosgrain or something else. My favorite ribbon is satin. It is so pretty on cards and I love it in any shade! Imagine my surprise when I happened to see all this shiny, beautiful ribbon on clearance for 75% off at my local Walmart. The fabric had already been sold out before I got there. I didn't realize our store was going to be closing that department so soon. I know other Walmart stores have closed their fabric departments for a while now. They will soon be phasing them all out. I hate to see that department go, but I am really excited for the bargain I got! You can see one of the tags on the purple, it was only SEVEN CENTS for a yard of that ribbon! None of it was over 90 cents and I got even more than what I put in that Christmas tin. Take a look:
The Christmas tin in the photograph above came from the Dollar Tree. I bought an assortment of tins and this year our family will be giving these out filled with Jell-O cookies, almond bark pretzels, peanut butter balls and The Ultimate Party mix for those who don't like sweets.
I have been busy this month, if you haven't noticed! LOL Part of what I have been doing is getting some things organized and prepped for January. I am going to have a really fun class for FREE and will be sharing so much with you all very soon. I thought I would share how I organize my Palette Ink Spots.
I asked an Angel friend of mine how she labeled her ink spots because they come in a pack of 4 that have the ink spot names on the package but not individually on each spot. She told me what she did and so I was going to try her method until I saw some white tags that were the exact same measurement as her labels. It was so easy to add the names of the ink spots to each one and then place them inside the clam shell I had leftover from The Angel Company stamps. I then labeled the outside with the Ink Spot set name. I love our Ink Spots and it is a really economical way for you to get all of our ink colors quicker! These are the only three I have, so you know what is on my Wish List...the rest of the Ink Spot sets!
While I was trying to organize my Ink Spots, I was also thinking of how I could easily take them with me to classes and crops or even from one room to the next without losing them or whatever. The clam shell case works great for keeping them together, and it's so easy to grab it and go. It doesn't take up much space, either.
There is still so many things I am eager to share with you but I will post it all soon! Be sure you keep checking back because you definitely don't want to miss my announcements and sneak peeks for what is coming next month!

WOW! I didn't know about Walmart. I might need to check my local one because their craft and sewing sections are huge here. The only one so big as far as the ones I've visited. I need to say they're always crowded in my town. That might be because we don't have too many craft stores. Great deals!
About the spots... I haven't labeled mine since I only own two sets but I plan in getting them all. Spots are so much easier to use while distressing! And they reach just the right amount of paper. So, I want to complete my spots, then my refills and finally the big ones with the colors I do stamp with often. IF I see that I use only two colors I WILL NOT invest in them because there are things not worth the expense. More when I just ordered my cricut and I will be needing funds for cartrridges for my scrapbooking. I can't believe I did such a BIG investment but I'm excited every day more of having my crafting area bigger!
well dang share with a sister man! J/K you got an awesome deal! Missing you!
sad about walmart -- their ribbon was cheap and they always had a great selection of colors.
merry christmas and happy new year!
