Hey, everyone!
Did you have fun ringing in the New Year? I'm a home body...I would rather be at home than anywhere else and when I am surrounded by family and friends...well what could be better? So, for New Year's Eve this year we decided to just play some board games at home and anyone that wanted to could come and hang out but we weren't really doing much. Paul ended up going to bed with a fever and not feeling well long before midnight. So here is a picture of us together. We don't have a lot of photos together because I do not like to get my picture taken at all.

Arnold and Hannah came over for a while to play games. It was so much fun. We laughed so much! We were having such a great time that we didn't even realize it was the NEW YEAR until we heard the fireworks outside! LOL Before they left, I took a picture of them with my kids. Kadesia and Javan adore Hannah and Arnold so they were very excited about their visit!

I make a lot of cards and then give them to my brother who then gives them to Hannah. She loves my cards. THANK YOU, HANNAH!!! My brother told me he has run out of cards for Hannah, so we just can't have that. I have been wanting to make this card for a while now. I saw a dress in the kids section with a print on it that reminded me of a stamp set from The Angel Company called Fantasy Flourishes (T-2875) so I decided to try to create a card with that same design idea. I also used the Basic Birds (T-2636) stamp set. I added some of my bargain ribbon, a tag made with my Sizzix machine and some embellishments I had in my stash.

I hope you like this card! The good news is that if you want to make this card, too, but don't have those stamps, you can order them anytime from Jan. 6-26 for HALF PRICE because they are T-coded stamps! How cool is that?
Thanks for stopping by today to see my card. Be sure you check back again soon! Next Tuesday will be the first StampTACular Tuesday Challenge and you won't want to miss it!!
Hugs,
Bridgett

Happy New Year!
I really like the elegant card you came up with.
And about not having too many pics with your hubby... well, I can tell you that you might actually miss that when you're both old. And I do hope nothing happens, but if something does and you are not together you might want to actually look at your scrapbooks of the good times you both were together.
The only pics of my grandparents together, are the ones of their engagement, marriage and honey moon. Oh and I think that one with one of their children. That's all. Now (they're still together) my grandma look at those pics and remember why she fell in love with him (and they can't stand each other most of the time now) and why they are still together.
She misses having pictures of their adult years since they don't have any picture of them (together or apart) until they got old. She misses her youth years. She wants to tell us she was beautiful and elegant. But there are no pics to show for that.
Please, don't do that to yourself. I don't like to have too many pics of me but Martin showed me how beautiful I can look and I do look for him. From time to time we take the time to just take shots of one or the other. We actually mess around with the camera. I play that I'm a high paying model. I put on some make up (he likes me natural not with too much makeup) I put on nice clothes and he just start taking me picture after picture.
Believe me, if you make that one of your new year's goals, you will feel more secure and confident as a woman. You will start wanting to actually have some pics with you both together and/or apart just to see how beautiful you are and how good you look together. You make a lovely couple. Don't waste those years!
You can delete this comment, or just keep it for yourself, it is okay with me, but I know you'll read it.

Hey Bridgett! Sweet pics, and I must say, I have to agree with Jany! Even if you keep them for your private viewing now, later in life you may be so happy to have them and want to share them with others too.
Your card is beautiful! I look forward to seeing more of your lovely work in the new year!!
