This whole weekend was such a fun-filled one that I had no time to craft! I did enjoy spending time with my husband and our two beautiful children and that's what really counts, right? I didn't even take any pictures because I just wanted to enjoy every minute without stressing about if I got all the shots I wanted for a good layout and all the other thoughts that race through my mind while I try to "preserve" these memories!!! LOL
My mom came over on Sunday so my husband could work on her car. She and my dad came by with lots of boxes for our huge garage sale we're having in July! It's going to be a BIG 3 family sale and I am so excited! This may be a surprise to those that know me and know how much I hate having them! I love going to them and checking out things but I really don't enjoy the work it takes to set up, sit there all weekend while people pick through your things and gripe about the prices, and then there's the hauling off what doesn't sell and all that! But my excitement comes from the way it makes me feel to see my kids' bedrooms all neat and organized, with only the things they truly love and enjoy playing with! Mom helped me so much with my daughter's room! She works miracles, let me tell you! She helped me with my living room, rearranging furniture and getting things done. It was so wonderful to have her help me and she priced stuff for the garage sale. I'm over halfway done with upstairs and I will be so thrilled when it is all gone! LOL
That brings me to the photo at the top! That is a laundry basket filled with 2 gallon baggies! Each baggie has a "theme" and contains all my scrapbooking materials. I have been scrapbooking since 2000 right after I got engaged. I love scrapbooking but now that I have an album to make for me and my husband, plus one for each child, it makes the task a little more daunting. My taste and style for scrapbooking has evolved over the past 9 years and there's a lot of things I have that I really don't want anymore so I am going through each baggie and only keeping the things I really want to use for scrapbook layouts and cards. I only got through one tonight, due to the constant interruptions (but they were good ones! LOL) but I am thrilled that I was able to combine Christmas and Winter into one baggie now! I'm going to be organizing each of these baggies and whatever I don't want I have a 2 gallon ziplock baggie that I am putting things in and it will be going in the garage sale. I have lots of nice things just not for me anymore!
What did you do over the weekend? I hope you had fun! I'd love to hear how you organize your scrapbooking and paper crafting items. Leave me a comment and tell me what your favorite method is! Don't miss out on the StampTACular Tuesday Challenge Christina and I will be featuring tomorrow. It's a great gift idea for DAD so be sure you check it out! Wednesday is always Scripture Challenge day so I will have another scrapbook layout featuring the word of the week. I'll see you tomorrow!
Hugs,

I am glad you are getting a chance to organize the way you want to. It will be the best thing without making you feel overwhelmed about having to run up and down thw stairs.
